2022–23 Håndboldligaen
The 2022–23 Håndboldligaen (known as the ''HTH Herreligaen'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 87th season of the Danish Handball League, the top men's handball league in Denmark. A total of fourteen teams contested this season's league. HC Midtjylland was promoted from the 1st Division. GOG Håndbold won the title, when they beat Aalborg Håndbold in the finals. GOG Håndbold won the regular season. This was the second time in a row GOG won the Danish Championship. HC Midtjylland were relegated, when they finished last in the regular season. Danish Men's Handball League
The Herreligaen (men's league), formerly known as Herrehåndboldligaen (men's handball league), is the men's top Danish professional handball league. The winners of the Herreligaen are recognised as the Danish men's handball champions. The current champions are Aalborg Håndbold. Season The Herreligaen season consists of 14 teams, each playing 26 regular season games. The eight best teams of the regular season advance to further games, where they are divided into two groups of four teams each. No. 1 and 2 from the regular season start with 2 points. No. 3 and 4 start with 1 point, while no. 5-8 start with no points. After these six games the two top teams in each group will play semifinals. No. 1 from one group is up against no. 2 from the other. The winners will meet in finals, while the losers will play against each other for the bronze medal. Nordsjælland Håndbold
Nordsjælland Håndbold is a handball club, based in Helsinge, Denmark. Currently, Nordsjælland Håndbold competes in the men's Danish Handball League, and plays its home matches in Helsinge-Hallen in Helsinge. The women's team is competing in the third-best tier of the women's Danish league system. History The club was founded in 2006, when Team Helsinge and Hillerød HK merged their first teams to create the new club. The following season, the team gained promotion to the Danish Handball League. In the 2012/2013 season the team finished in the relegation spots, but due to the bankruptcy and subsequent forced relegation of Viborg HK, the team could remain in the top division. In the 2013/2014 season however the team was relegated, when they finished last in their relegation playoff. Gudmehallerne
Gudme-hallerne is a complex of indoor sports arenas in the town of Gudme on Funen, Denmark. The arena is primarily used for handball, and is home to as well the men's Danish Handball League team GOG, and the women's 1st Division team. The construction began September 1, 1972. It was first taken into use on October 2, 1972. For many years the arena had been planned in Svendborg Amt. On June 29, 1966 the first planning meeting took place between the relevant sports associations. The first arena had only one handball court. Because of GOG's sporting succes, additional training facilities were requisted in 1992. The plans were soon expanded from a training court to a public court with room for spectators, which became the hall now known as 'Hal1'. Jysk Arena
JYSK Arena, or Silkeborg-Hallerne, is a complex of indoor sports arenas in Silkeborg, Denmark used for several sports, but primarily handball. The arena is home to Danish Handball League team Bjerringbro-Silkeborg Håndbold. In 2014 Silkeborg-Hallerne was renovated, so that the hall is now bigger at 6000 square meters Besides making the hall larger, work was done to floors, lighting, stands and replacement of the big screen replaced. Gigantium
The Gigantium (called ''Sparekassen Danmark Arena'' for sponsoring reasons), in Aalborg, Denmark, is a large, rentable faire building, which hosts a large variety of concerts, markets and exhibitions, among other things. It has a capacity of 5,500 people. For concerts, the capacity is 8,500 people. In addition, there is an ice rink/arena for training purposes, a swimming pool and an athletics hall within the sports complex. The main arena building was severely damaged by a fire on 5 July 2017. TTH Holstebro
TTH Holstebro is a men's handball club from Holstebro, Denmark. The team is playing in the Danish Primo Tours Ligaen and play their home matches in Gråkjær Arena. History The club was founded on 1 May 2000, when Holstebro Håndbold 90 and Tvis KFUM merged their first teams to create the new club. In 2002 disagreements between HH90 and Tvis KFUM nearly let to the dissolvement of the club. A general assemply was called to dissilve the club, but an agreement between the two founding clubs was found last minute, which separated the elite team as its own legal entity. In 2008 the club won their first ever trophy, when they won the Danish Men's Handball Cup. In 2016 the club changed the name from 'Team Tvis Holstebro' to 'TTH Holstebro'. The reason for the change was that the sponsors was primarily based in Holstebro and wanted that town to have more focus compared to the relatively smaller Tvis. SønderjyskE is a Denmark, Danish sport corporation. They have a Football (soccer), football team (SønderjyskE Fodbold, based in Haderslev), two team handball, handball teams (SønderjyskE Håndbold, one male based in Sønderborg, one female based in Aabenraa) and an SønderjyskE Ishockey, ice hockey team (SønderjyskE Ishockey, based in Vojens).
