2022–23 Gillingham F.C. Season
The 2022–23 season was the 130th season in the existence of Gillingham F. C., Gillingham Football Club and the club's first season back in League Two since the 2012–13 Gillingham F.C. season, 2012–13 season following their relegation from EFL League One, League One the 2021–22 Gillingham F.C. season, season before. In addition to the league, they also competed in the 2022–23 FA Cup, the 2022–23 EFL Cup and the 2022–23 EFL Trophy. In the sport of association football, each of the 11 players on a team is assigned to a particular position on the field of play. Cheye Christian Alexander (born 6 January 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back. Born in England, he plays for the Saint Lucia national team. A former West Ham United Academy graduate, he spent the 2013–14 season with Port Vale, though he only played first-team games during a loan spell at Ilkeston. Mikael Yann Mathieu Mandron (born 11 October 1994) is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for club St Mirren. William Robert Wright (born 12 June 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Swindon Town. Career Born in Luton, Bedfordshire, Wright played youth football for Luton Town, before playing in non-league football for Biggleswade United and Hitchin Town. Dagenham () is a town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Dagenham is centred east of Charing Cross. It was historically a rural parish in the Becontree Hundred of Essex, stretching from Hainault Forest in the north to the River Thames in the south. Jake Edward Turner (born 25 February 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Gillingham. Early life Turner was born in Wilmslow, and grew up with older sister Millie, who is also a footballer.
