2022–23 FC Zenit Saint Petersburg Season
The 2022–23 season was the 98th season in the existence of FC Zenit Saint Petersburg and the club's 27th consecutive season in the top flight of Russian football. In addition to the domestic league, Zenit Saint Petersburg participated in this season's editions of the Russian Cup. The club won the Russian Super Cup before the season with their participation in the UEFA Champions League still on hold due to the ongoing Russian conflict with Ukraine. The 2022–23 Russian Premier League (known as the Mir Russian Premier League, also written as Mir Russian Premier Liga for sponsorship reasons) was the 31st season of the premier football competition in Russia since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the 21st under the current Russian Premier League name. Teams As in the previous season, 16 teams played in the 2022–23 season. After the 2021–22 season, Arsenal Tula, Rubin Kazan and Ufa were all relegated to the 2022–23 Russian Football National League.
