2022–23 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2022–23 CBA season was the 28th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The season began on 21 October 2022 and ended on 5 April 2023. The league consisted of 20 teams. The Liaoning Flying Leopards won their third championship in team history following their finals victory over the Zhejiang Golden Bulls. On 17 April 2023, during the playoffs, the CBA ruled that the Jiangsu Dragons and Shanghai Sharks engaged in unsportsmanlike conduct following matchfixing suspicions, and were suspended for the next season. Chinese Basketball Association
The Chinese Basketball Association (), often abbreviated as the CBA, is the first-tier men's professional basketball league in China. The league is commonly known by fans as the CBA, and this acronym is even used in Chinese on a regular basis. The CBA should not be confused with the National Basketball League (China), National Basketball League (NBL), which is a professional minor league. There is also a Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). A few Chinese players who competed in the CBA in the early stages of their careers—including Wang Zhizhi, Mengke Bateer, Yao Ming, Yi Jianlian, Sun Yue (basketball), Sun Yue, and Zhou Qi—have also played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin
Shandong Hi-Speed Kirin () is a Chinese professional basketball team based in Jinan, Shandong, competing in the Northern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Some of the team's home games are also held in the nearby city of Linyi. The club's corporate sponsor is the Hi-Speed Group, succeeding its long-time previous corporate sponsor, Kingston. Abdusalam Abdurixit (; ; born May 20, 1996) is a Chinese professional basketball player for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). "Abudushalamu Abudurexiti" is the Chinese Pinyin rendering of his name. His given name has been spelled as "Abdusalam" on the back of his Chinese national team jersey and his patronymic has been spelled as "Abdurixit" in English language materials distributed to the foreign media by China's national team.
