The 2022–23 Chicago Blackhawks season was the 97th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on September 25, 1926. The Blackhawks were led by first-year head coach Luke Richardson. On March 18, 2023, the Blackhawks were eliminated from playoff contention after a loss to the Arizona Coyotes. Central Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Central Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. Its predecessor was the Norris Division and its also one of two successors to the Northwest Division. The Chicago Blackhawks have been a member of the Central Division in all of its seasons since the original 1993 realignment. The Arizona Coyotes (as the original Winnipeg Jets), Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues were also original members of the division, but were realigned to a different division for a while before returning; both the Coyotes and Stars were moved to the Pacific Division in 1998 (the Stars moved back to the Central in 2013, and the Coyotes followed in 2021), while the Blues were moved to the West Division during the temporary 2020–21 realignment. Petr Mrázek
Petr Mrázek (; born 14 February 1992) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the fifth round, 141st overall, by the Red Wings in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, with whom he spent the first portion of his NHL career. He also played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Chicago Blackhawks. Playing career Junior Before going to North America, Mrázek played in the Czech Extraliga, where he appeared for HC Vítkovice Steel during the 2007–08 post-season. Xcel Energy Center is a multipurpose arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Completed in 2000 and often called "The X" by fans, it is named for its locally based corporate sponsor Xcel Energy. Alex Stalock
Alexander Stalock ( ; born July 28, 1987) is an American sports commentator and former professional ice hockey goaltender. Stalock was originally drafted 112th overall in the 2005 NHL entry draft by the San Jose Sharks, and also played for the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks. Following his playing career, Stalock began a broadcasting career with the Sharks as a Sports radio, radio color commentator. Playing career Stalock was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Saint Paul and played high school hockey for the South St. Paul, Minnesota Packers.
