2022–23 Boston Bruins Season
The 2022–23 Boston Bruins season was the 99th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on November 1, 1924. In the offseason, the organization fired Bruce Cassidy, the team's head coach for the previous six seasons, and replaced him with Jim Montgomery. The season also saw the return of long-time Bruin David Krejci, who spent the previous season playing in the Czech Extraliga. The Bruins acquired players such as Pavel Zacha, via trade, and Tomas Nosek, via free agency, during the offseason, while also making trades for Dmitry Orlov, Garnet Hathaway, and Tyler Bertuzzi near the mid-season trade deadline to bolster their roster. The Atlantic Division is a name used by the National Hockey League to describe a division of teams in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The original Atlantic Division, the predecessor of which was the Patrick Division, was formed in 1993 as part of the Eastern Conference in a league realignment. The 2022–23 Florida Panthers season was the 29th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established in 1993. It is the Panthers' 24th season at FLA Live Arena. This is the Panthers' first season under new head coach Paul Maurice. The Panthers qualified for the playoffs after the Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins each lost their games on April 11, 2023. After barely clinching a wild card spot in the playoffs, the Panthers were set to face the Boston Bruins, who had set the NHL record for most wins and points in a season. This is a list of team records recognized by the National Hockey League through the end of the 2023–24 NHL season. Season records During the first eight years the NHL existed, teams played between 18 and 36 games in a season. Beginning in 1926, teams played 44–60 games. The Presidents' Trophy () is an award presented by the National Hockey League (NHL) to the team that finishes with the most points (i.e., best overall record) during the regular season. If two teams are tied for the most points, then the Trophy goes to the team with the most regulation wins (RW). The Presidents' Trophy has been awarded 37 times to 18 different teams since its inception during the 1985–86 NHL season. Tyler Bertuzzi (born February 24, 1995) is a Canadian professional hockey left winger for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tomáš Nosek
Tomáš Nosek (born 1 September 1992) is a Czech professional ice hockey forward for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Nosek began his professional career in the Czech Extraliga with HC Pardubice before signing with the Detroit Red Wings as an undrafted free agent in 2014.
