The 2022–23 Ardal SW season (also known as the 2022–23 Floodlighting and Electrical Services Ardal SW season for sponsorship reasons) is the second season of the new third-tier southern region football in Welsh football pyramid, part of the Ardal Leagues. Teams The league was made up of 16 teams competing for one automatic promotion place to Cymru South, whilst the second place team qualified for a play-off with the second-placed team of Ardal SE. Three teams are relegated to Tier 4. Ardal SW
The Ardal Leagues are a association football, football league in Wales. The word "ardal" translates as "district" in English, with Wales split into four regions at this level. They have clubs with amateur/semi-professional status and sit at the third level of the Welsh football league system. The first year of their operation would have been 2020–21 but the 2020–21 Ardal NE, 2020–21 Ardal North East season, 2020–21 Ardal NW, 2020–21 Ardal North West season, 2020–21 Ardal SE, 2020–21 Ardal South East season and 2020–21 Ardal SW, 2020–21 Ardal South West season were all cancelled. The inaugural season was moved to 2021–22. The creation of the leagues mark the first time the Football Association of Wales owns and is administering tier 3 of the Welsh league system. 2021–22 Cymru South
The 2021–22 Cymru South season (also known as the 2021–22 JD Cymru South season for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the second-tier Southern region football in Welsh football pyramid. Teams will play each other twice on a home and away basis. Swansea University were the defending champions from the 2019–20 season, following the curtailment of the 2020–21 season. Pre-season favourites Ammanford AFC endured a season of struggle, with a three way title race for much of the season between Briton Ferry, Pontypridd Town AFC, and Llantwit Major AFC. After all three clubs lead at some point, Llantwit Major put together an outstanding finish to the season, winning 11 games out of 12 to lift the trophy with a game to spare. Llwydcoed is a small village and Community (Wales), community north of the Cynon Valley, Cwm Cynon, near the town of Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, with a population of 1,302 as of 2011 census. History The village initially developed in the Tregibbon area, where in 1801 workers' housing was built by Thomas ap Shencin ap Gibbon of Fforchaman Farm. Other early housing was built at Miner's Row, Founder's Row and Scales Houses. Treharris is a small town and community (and electoral ward) in the Taff Bargoed Valley in the south of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, South Wales. It is located about west of Trelewis, from which it is separated by the Taff Bargoed river, and from Nelson in Caerphilly county borough and has a population of 6,356 from the 2011 Census. As a community, Treharris includes the villages of Quakers Yard and Edwardsville. Pontyclun (or Pont-y-clun) is a town and community located in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. Pontyclun translates from the Welsh language as 'bridge verthe River Clun', the Clun being a tributary of the River Ely that runs through Pontyclun. A bridge crosses the Afon Clun just above its confluence with the Ely. The town is served by Pontyclun railway station on the South Wales Main Line. Ynyshir (; English pronunciation 'Un-is-heer') is a village and community located in the Rhondda Valley, within Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales.
