Adelaide United Football Club is a professional men's Association football, soccer club located in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club was one of the eight founding members of the A-League Men and have competed in it concurrently since its formation, under North American professional sports league organization#Systems around the world, licence from the Australian Professional Leagues. Established in 2003, the club was formed to replace Adelaide City and West Adelaide SC, West Adelaide in the final season of the National Soccer League, and has remained the only professional club from South Australia. Javier 'Javi' López Rodríguez (; born 21 January 1986) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played mainly as a full-back. He spent the vast majority of his professional career with Espanyol, signing in 2007 and appearing in 283 competitive matches during his spell. Jay Barnett (born 14 February 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defensive midfielder for Adelaide United. Career Brisbane Roar Barnett signed his first professional contract with Brisbane Roar on 18 October 2017, penning a two-year Scholarship deal with the club. George Blackwood
George Henry Raymond Blackwood (born 4 June 1997) is an Australian footballer who plays as a striker for West Torrens Birkalla. Born in Sydney, Blackwood played youth football for APIA Leichhardt Tigers before making his professional debut for Sydney FC in 2014. Lachlan Barr
Lachlan Ryan Barr (born 24 September 1994) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a central defender for MetroStars. Early and personal life Barr was born in Adelaide, Australia. Career Barr played youth football for Westland United and Adelaide United. He played senior football for White City in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons. Zach Paul John Clough (born 8 March 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or striker for Adelaide United. Clough started his career at Bolton Wanderers, having played for them since the age of eight. He established himself as a regular goal-scorer for Bolton, playing 68 games before being sold to Nottingham Forest. Hiroshi Ibusuki
is a Japanese professional footballer who plays for Western United as a striker. Club career Born in Nagareyama, Chiba, Ibusuki played all his youth football with Kashiwa Reysol. On 2 January 2009, aged not yet 18, he signed a four-year contract with Spanish club Girona FC. Louis Joseph D'Arrigo (born 23 September 2001) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Australian club Melbourne Victory.
