The 2022–23 season of the 2. Frauen-Bundesliga was the 19th season of Germany's second-tier Women's association football, women's football league. It ran from 16 September 2022 to 29 May 2023. The fixtures were announced on 5 July 2022. RB Leipzig and 1. FC Nürnberg (women), 1. FC Nürnberg were promoted to the Frauen-Bundesliga. SC Freiburg (women), SC Freiburg II, 1. FC Köln (women), 1. FC Bayern Munich is a German professional women's football team based in Munich, Germany. The club was founded in 1970 and plays in the Frauen-Bundesliga, the top women's league in Germany. Bayern Munich Women were a founding member of the Frauen-Bundesliga in 1990. They have won seven German league titles and were twice DFB-Pokal winners.
