2022 World Wrestling Championships – Men's Greco-Roman 130 Kg
The men's Greco-Roman 130 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Belgrade, Serbia on 12 and 13 September 2022. This Greco-Roman wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. The Štark Arena ( sr-cyrl, Штарк арена), also known as Belgrade Arena ( sr-cyrl, Београдска арена), is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Belgrade, Serbia. It is designed as a universal hall for sports, cultural events and other programs. Yasmani Acosta Fernández (born 16 July 1988) is a Cuban-born naturalized Chilean Greco-Roman wrestler who currently competes at 130 kilograms. Acosta qualified Chile for the 2020 Summer Olympics by winning the gold medal from the 2020 Pan American Olympic Qualification Tournament. Meng Lingzhe (born 16 April 1998) is a Chinese Greco-Roman wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 130 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Background Meng was born on 16 April 1998, in Dingtao District, Heze, Shandong. When he was four years old, he started training in martial arts.
