The Belgrade Arena ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Београдска арена, Beogradska arena, separator=" / ") is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Belgrade, Serbia. It is designed as a universal hall for sports, cultural events and other programs. The venue is used for several different sports events, such as basketball, futsal, handball, judo, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, water polo, as well as for concerts. The arena's capacity stands at 18,386. Also there is small hall with underground tuminel for warming while the total floor area stands at . Belgrade Arena was a member of the European Arenas Association (EAA). Location and influence The Belgrade Arena is situated in New Belgrade. Arena's parking is limited in spaces, though nearby residential areas provide enough room for vehicles. 2012 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2012 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Serbia from 4 to 16 December. Originally the tournament was scheduled to be held in the Netherlands but on 4 June 2012 the Dutch Handball Federation withdrew from the organization. Subsequently, the European Handball Federation (EHF) launched a new bidding process and eventually selected Serbia as the new host on 18 June 2012. Montenegro captured their first title by defeating defending champion Norway 34–31 in the final. Host selection Initially on its meeting on 27 September 2008 the EHF awarded the championship to the Netherlands, defeating Ukraine in the second round of voting while Germany and Serbia withdrew their candidacy during the congress. 2023 Music Awards Ceremony
Music Awards Ceremony (MAC) 2023, presented by Sky Music, was held on 25 and 26 January 2023 to recognize the best in the music of former Yugoslav countries. The ceremony took place at Štark Arena in Belgrade. Following a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the third MAC was announced on 27 November 2022. The event for the first time included two nights, one focusing on pop, rock, folk, world, rap, and hip hop music, and the other for contemporary genres, like trap, drill, urban pop and pop-folk music. The 2022 EuroLeague Final Four was the concluding EuroLeague Final Four tournament of the 2021–22 EuroLeague season, the 65th season of Europe's premier club basketball tournament, and the 22nd season since it was first organised by Euroleague Basketball. 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship
The 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. For the second time the Women's EuroVolley was held in four countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. EuroBasket Women 2019
The 2019 EuroBasket Women, European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2019, was the 37th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was co-held in Riga, Latvia and Belgrade, Serbia from 27 June to 7 July 2019. Spain won their second consecutive and fourth overall title after defeating France 86–66 in the final. 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held between 3 and 5 March 2017 at the Kombank Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1969 European Indoor Games, 1969 edition then known as the European Indoor Games, and the first time in more than 30 years that the competition was held in Eastern Europe. The 2016 Men's European Water Polo Championship was held in Belgrade, Serbia. Serbia won their seventh, and third straight, title by defeating the Montenegro 10–8 in the final.
