Paula Badosa defeated Barbora Krejčíková in the final, 6–3, 4–6, 7–6(7–4) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Sydney Tennis Classic. Krejčíková reached the final after having saved seven match points in her semifinal match against Anett Kontaveit. Paula Badosa
Paula Badosa Gibert () (born 15 November 1997) is a Spanish professional tennis player. She has been ranked as high as world No. 2 in singles by the WTA and No. 124 in doubles, achieved on 25 April 2022. She has won four WTA Tour singles titles, including a WTA 1000 event in Indian Wells, and reached a major semifinal at the 2025 Australian Open.
