2022 NFL Draft
The 2022 NFL draft was the 87th edition of the National Football League's annual NFL draft, draft and was held from April 28–30, 2022, at the Caesars Forum on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, Paradise next to Las Vegas. The first round was held on Thursday, April 28, and was followed by the second and third rounds on Friday, April 29. The draft concluded with rounds 4–7 on Saturday, April 30. It was the first draft to be held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area and the state of Nevada. The first five selections were defensive players, the second-most taken at the start of a draft after the six in 1991 NFL Draft, 1991. Caesars Forum
Caesars Forum is a convention center located in Paradise, Nevada, east of the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Development of the project began around early 2017, and construction started in July 2018. The facility opened on October 25, 2020. It has of space, and includes the largest pillarless ballrooms in the world. It also features a plaza. History Caesars Forum is located east of the Las Vegas Strip. It was built on located behind The Linq resort, on property which previously served as a parking lot. Caesars Entertainment began developing the project around early 2017, and announced it at the end of the year. The project would provide much-needed convention space for three of Caesars' nearby resort properties: Harrah's, The Linq, and the Flamingo. 2022 New York Giants Season
The 2022 season was the New York Giants' 98th in the National Football League (NFL), their 47th season playing in The Meadowlands and their 13th playing at MetLife Stadium. Following the conclusion of the 2021 season, head coach Joe Judge was fired and general manager Dave Gettleman retired. 2013 NFL Draft
The 2013 NFL draft was the 78th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft, which is officially called the "NFL Player Selection Meeting", was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 25 through April 27. Eric Fisher was chosen first overall by the Kansas City Chiefs, becoming the fourth offensive tackle ever to be selected with the top pick since the first common draft in 1967. Players who attended high school in 39 of the 50 states were selected in this draft; Florida and California led with 27 draftees each. The Georgia Bulldogs football program represents the University of Georgia in the sport of American football. The Georgia Bulldogs, Bulldogs compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The 2000 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur U.S. college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 15– 16, 2000, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. No teams chose to claim any players in the supplemental draft that year. The draft started with Penn State teammates Courtney Brown and LaVar Arrington being selected consecutively, making them the only Penn State players to go number one and two in the same draft. 1972 NFL Draft
The 1972 NFL draft was the 37th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft was held on February 1 and 2 at the Essex House in New York City, New York. With the first overall pick of the draft, the Buffalo Bills selected defensive end Walt Patulski. Patulski would become viewed as a draft bust, after the Bills released him in 1976 — coincidentally replacing Patuski with second overall choice Sherman White of California. NFL historians have frequently described 1972 as one of the league's worst draft classes ever, especially regarding the failure of the majority of 1st round draftees, which has become viewed worse than other notably weak drafts like 2002 and 2009. The 1991 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 21–22, 1991, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, New York. No teams elected to claim any players in the supplemental draft that year. The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada, that is known for its concentration of resort hotels and casinos. The Strip, as it is known, is about long, and is immediately south of the Las Vegas city limits in the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester, but is often referred to simply as "Las Vegas".
