2022 MotoE World Cup
The 2022 MotoE World Cup (known officially as the 2022 FIM Enel MotoE World Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the fourth season of the MotoE World Cup for electric motorcycle racing, and was a support series of the 74th F.I.M. Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. This was the last season of Energica being the sole supplier of the World Cup as they withdrew from the Cup after the season, with Ducati taking their place as the new sole manufacturer starting 2023. Dominique Aegerter clinched the championship after a crash from Eric Granado during race 1 in Misano, his first MotoE crown. Teams and riders All teams used the series-specified Energica Ego Corsa. The International Motorcycling Federation (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) or (FIM) is the global governing/sanctioning body of motorcycle racing. Pons Racing was a motorcycle and auto racing team owned by the British company Pons Racing UK Limited. The team principal is former 250 cc world champion, Sito Pons. In motorcycle road racing world championships, Pons has fielded riders such as Alex Barros, Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi and Sete Gibernau. María Herrera Muñoz (born 26 August 1996) is a Spanish Motorcycle racing, motorcycle racer. Career Early career Born in Oropesa, Spain, Oropesa, Province of Toledo, Toledo, Herrera was the first female competitor to win a race in the FIM CEV Repsol series, winning the Moto3 race at Ciudad del Motor de Aragón, Motorland Aragón for the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 squad in 2013 CEV Moto3 season, 2013. She added a second victory later in the season at Circuito de Navarra, and led the championship into the final round at Circuito de Jerez, Jerez. Ultimately, Herrera retired from the final race, and finished fourth in the championship, thirteen points behind champion Fabio Quartararo. Aspar Team (formerly Ángel Nieto Team) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racing team from Spain, competing in the Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE World Championships. History The team was created by former world champion Jorge Martínez in 1992, when he was still riding a Honda RS125R. For 1993 Martínez expanded his operations into the 250cc class debuting with Juan Borja. For the next two seasons the Aspar team switched to Yamaha TZ125 bikes leaving the 250cc division. Sic58 Squadra Corse is an Italian motorcycle racing team founded by Paolo Simoncelli in honour of his son, Marco Simoncelli (1987–2011). Javier "Xavi" Forés Querol (born 16 September 1985) is a motorcycle road racer from Spain. For 2020 he competed in the Superbike World Championship aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10RR, and for 2021 in both British Superbike Championship for FHO Racing using BMWs, and FIM Endurance World Championship for BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team. For 2022, Forés competed in World Superbikes as a replacement rider for Team Goeleven, in MotoE and Endurance racing with co-riders David Checa and Chaz Davies. At the season end he was drafted into World Superbikes for the final three races after a brief spell with Eurosport as an expert pundit on World Superbike racing. Pramac Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP World Championship based in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy. History d'Antin MotoGP The d'Antin MotoGP Team was created in 1999 by Spanish former motorcycle racer Luis d'Antin and was based in Madrid.
