2022 Morbi Bridge Collapse
On 30 October 2022, a pedestrian suspension bridge over the Machchhu River in the city of Morbi in Gujarat, India, collapsed, causing the deaths of at least 141 people and injuries to more than 180 others. 2019 Mumbai Foot Overbridge Collapse
On 14 March 2019, in Mumbai city of India, a part of a foot overbridge connecting north-end of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station to Badaruddin Tayabji Lane collapsed and fell on the road. Six people died and at least 30 others were injured in the accident. On 31 March 2016, a steel span of the under-construction Vivekananda Road flyover in the Girish Park neighbourhood of Kolkata, India, collapsed. 27 people died and 80 more were injured in the accident.
