The 2022 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (officially the Brasileirão Assaí 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 66th season of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top level of professional football in Brazil, and the 19th edition in a double round-robin since its establishment in 2003. The competition began on 9 April and ended on 13 November 2022. The top six teams as well as the 2022 Copa do Brasil champions qualified for the Copa Libertadores. The next six best-placed teams not qualified for Copa Libertadores qualified for the Copa Sudamericana and the last four were relegated to Série B for 2023. Palmeiras won the competition, securing their eleventh league title with three rounds to go after Internacional's 1–0 defeat to América Mineiro on 2 November. 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B
The 2021 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B was a football competition held in Brazil, equivalent to the second division. The competition began on 28 May and ended on 28 November. Twenty teams competed in the tournament, twelve returning from the 2020 season, four promoted from the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C ( Brusque, Londrina, Remo and Vila Nova), and four relegated from the 2020 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Botafogo, Coritiba, Goiás and Vasco da Gama). Brusque were deducted three points after they were punished by Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD) for racial abuse aimed toward Londrina's player Celsinho during the match Brusque v Londrina, played on 28 August (21st round). Brusque also were sanctioned with a fine of R$60,000. On 18 November 2021, STJD overturned its decision and the three points were returned to Brusque. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série B (commonly referred to as the Brasileirão Série B, the Série B or the Brazilian Série B to distinguish it from the Italian and the Ecuadorian Serie B), and currently officially called Brasileirão Série B Superbet by sponsorship reasons) is the second tier of the Brazilian football league system. 2022 Copa Do Brasil
The 2022 Copa do Brasil (officially the Copa Intelbras do Brasil 2022 for sponsorship reasons) was the 34th edition of the Copa do Brasil football competition. It was held between 22 February and 19 October 2022. The competition was contested by 92 teams, either qualified by participating in their respective state championships (70), by the 2022 CBF ranking (10), by the 2021 Copa do Nordeste (1), by the 2021 Copa Verde (1), by the 2021 Série B (1) or those qualified for 2022 Copa Libertadores (9). Atlético Mineiro were the defending champions but they were eliminated in the Round of 16.
