2021–22 UEFA Futsal Champions League
The 2021–22 UEFA Futsal Champions League was the 36th edition of Europe's premier club futsal tournament, and the 21st edition organized by UEFA. It was also the fourth edition since the tournament was rebranded from "UEFA Futsal Cup" to UEFA Futsal Champions League. Sporting CP (futsal), Sporting CP, the title holders, entered in the main round. They lost 4–0 in the final against FC Barcelona Futsal, Barcelona, who won their fourth title. Association team allocation A total of 55 teams from 51 of the 55 UEFA member associations participated in the 2021–22 UEFA Futsal Champions League. Xiaomi Arena, formerly known as Arena Riga () is an indoor arena in Riga, Latvia. It is primarily used for ice hockey, basketball and concerts. Arena Riga holds a maximum of 14,500 and was opened on 15 February 2006. It was built to be used as one of the venues for the 2006 IIHF World Championship, the other being Skonto Arena. The arena was designed by the Canadian company Stadium Consultants International ( SCI Architects) and Latvian firms SIA Merks and SIA Nams. AFC Kairat (, ''Qaırat Almaty fýtzal klýby'') is a professional futsal club based in Almaty, the biggest city of Kazakhstan. The club was founded in 1995. MNK Olmissum is a professional futsal club based in Omiš, Croatia. History The club is founded on 1 July 2015 by Mijo Milavić and Josip Škorić. Milavić came up with the idea of founding the club after watching the matches of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2012 in the Spaladium Arena in Split with his company with which he plays recreational futsal. The club started with official competitions played in Futsal County league of Split-Dalmatia County and won it after two season, of which he won the second without losing a point. Football Club Atyrau () is a professional football club based in Atyrau, who last played in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest level of Kazakh football.
