2021–22 PFC Sochi Season
The 2021–22 PFC Sochi season was Sochi's third season in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia, and their fourth season as a club. Sochi finished the season in 2nd position, were knocked out of the Russian Cup at the Round of 16 stage by CSKA Moscow, and the Third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League by Partizan. Boris Romanovich Rotenberg (; born 3 January 1957) is a Russian businessman and oligarch. He is co-owner (with his brother Arkady Rotenberg) of the SGM (StroyGazMontazh) group, the largest construction company for gas pipelines and electrical power supply lines in Russia. He was listed by Forbes as Russia's 69th wealthiest person in 2016 with a net worth of $1.07 billion. He is considered a close confidant of president Vladimir Putin. Since 2014, following Russia's annexation of Crimea, Rotenberg has been subject to sanctions by the United States government. FC Krasnodar is a Russian professional football club based in Krasnodar that plays in the Russian Premier League. They are the league's reigning champions. The club was founded in 2008. FC Baltika () is a professional association football club based in Kaliningrad, Russia. The club will return to the Russian Premier League in the 2025–26 season. History The club was founded on 22 December 1954 as ''Pishchevik Kaliningrad''. In 1958 the club was renamed ''Baltika''. FC Orenburg () is a Russian professionalism in association football, professional football club based in Orenburg. Founded in 1976, it will return to the Russian First League in the 2025–26 season.
