The 2021–22 season was the 17th in the history of Melbourne Victory Football Club. This was Melbourne Victory's 17th season in the A-League Men. In addition to the domestic league, Melbourne Victory also participated in the FFA Cup. The season was documented in the Network Ten, Paramount+ and Amazon Prime Video series Dream Big. Melbourne Victory Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia), Victoria. FFA Cup
The Australia Cup (currently known as the Hahn Australia Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the national soccer knockout cup competition in Australia. This annual competition is organised by Football Australia (known as Football Federation Australia until 2020). Leigh Michael Broxham (born 13 January 1988) is an Australian professional soccer player, currently play for semi-professional club Bentleigh Greens in Victoria Premier League 1. Born in Melbourne, Broxham played youth football at the Victorian Institute of Sport before making his professional debut in 2007 for Melbourne Victory, where he continued to play for over a decade and 300 appearances. Matthew Spiranovic
Matthew Thomas Spiranovic (born 27 June 1988) is an Australian former soccer player who played as a defender. Spiranovic started his career with Melbourne Victory, making one competitive appearance before being released with the consent of coach Ernie Merrick to join German Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg. Spiranovic struggled in his new climate with both injuries and form, making just 28 first team appearances over four seasons with the German club, playing more frequently for the club's second side. In search of more consistent playing time, Spiranovic then joined Urawa Red Diamonds making 13 league appearances and scoring 1 goal during the 2010 J-League season. Raimon "Rai" Marchán Vidal (born 11 August 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder. Jason Alan Davidson (born 29 June 1991) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a left-back for Greek club Panserraikos. Matthew Michael Acton (born 3 June 1992) is an Australian soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Brisbane Roar. Besides Australia, he has played in Myanmar and the Philippines.
