The 2021–22 Luge World Cup was a multi race tournament over a season for Luge, organised by the International Luge Federation, FIL. The season started on 20 November 2021 in Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh and Luge Track, Yanqing, China, and concluded on 23 January 2022 in St. Moritz-Celerina Olympic Bobrun, St. Moritz, Switzerland. Johannes Ludwig
Johannes Ludwig (born 14 February 1986) is an Olympic gold medal-winning German luger who has competed since 1996. He won a bronze medal in the Team relay event at the FIL European Luge Championships 2010 in Sigulda. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, held in Pyeongchang, South Korea, Ludwig won the bronze medal in the Luge at the 2018 Winter Olympics – Men's singles, men's singles luge and the gold in the team relay luge, along with his teammates Natalie Geisenberger, Tobias Wendl, and Tobias Arlt. Then at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, he won the gold medal in the Luge at the 2022 Winter Olympics – Men's singles, Men's singles race. Dominik Fischnaller (born 20 February 1993) is an Italian luger who has competed since 2002. He has won silver and two bronze medals at Junior World Championships. Fischnaller won the Junior Luge World Cup for the 2010–11 season. His best Luge World Cup overall finish was third 2013–14 Luge World Cup. Kristers Aparjods (born 24 February 1998) is a Latvian luger. He started competing in luge in 2006. Career He took the gold medal in the singles event in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, where he was also selected as the flag bearer for the Latvians in the opening ceremony. He was also part of the Latvian team which won the team relay at the 2015 Junior World Championships in Lillehammer, and went on to take a silver in the singles at the 2016 Junior World Championships in Winterberg, Germany, and a gold in the singles on home ice at the 2017 Junior Worlds at Sigulda. Roman Alexandrovich Repilov (; born 5 March 1996) is a Russian luger. Competitive career Representing Russia at the 2015–16 Luge World Cup, Repilov placed second in the sprint event in Calgary with a time of 30.279. On 2 December 2016, he came in fifth in the Lake Placid event of the Men's Singles 2016-17 Luge World Cup, but set a new Lake Placid track start record of 6.359 seconds. Later in the same season, he triumphed in the men's singles event at Park City, Utah, came in second twice, in Winterberg, Germany and Sigulda, Latvia and won two men's singles sprint events in Park City and Sigulda. Max Langenhan
Max Langenhan (born 21 February 1999) is a German luger who competes for the BRC 05 Friedrichroda club and German national team. He represented his country at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Youth and Junior career Max Langenhan was successful at national level at early years of his career and made his international debut in January 2015 in the Youth A World Cup. In his debut race in Oberhof, he took second place just behind his compatriot German luger Lucas Geyer. In the next two races of the season, he secured third and second place in Igls and Winterberg, respectively. In just three races he finished seventh overall. In that season, he finished seventh overall after only three races. In 2015/16 season, Langenhan advanced to the Junior World Cup. Felix Loch (; born 24 July 1989) is a German luger and Olympic champion. He has been competing since 1995 and on the German national team since 2006. The Oberhof bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track (sponsored name since 2020: LOTTO Thüringen Eisarena Oberhof) is a venue used for bobsled, luge and skeleton located in Oberhof, Germany.
