2021–22 Liga Unike
The 2021–22 Liga Unike was the second season of the Liga Unike, a professional basketball league in Albania and Kosovo. The season began on 23 October 2021 and will end in 2022. Teams Top four teams from 2020–21 Albanian Basketball Superleague and 2020–21 Kosovo Basketball Superleague respectively will participate in the competition. KB Peja
Klubi i Basketbollit Peja ( English: ''Basketball Club Peja'') is a Kosovan professional basketball club based in Pejë. The club competes in the Kosovo Basketball Superleague, Kosovo Cup and Liga Unike. The team's roster has included big names like Acie Earl, Fred House, Ricardo Marsh, Samir Shaptahu, Dardan Berisha, Ersid Luca, Drilon Hajrizi and Gerti Shima. History The team was officially formed on 13 March 1993 under the ownership of Ilhami Gashi. The club's first manager was Valdet Spahija and the first roster consisted of Valdet Spahija (as player-manager), Riza Gjakova, Ahmet Nimani, Besim Gjuka, Sebajdin Sylejmani, Agim Lluka, Agim Beqiraj and Turhan Zajmi. The team name was KB Peja until 2001, when Ekrem Lluka bought the club and renamed it KB Dukagjini(Dukagjini is the company named after the region). In 2005 the name was changed back to KB Peja. Prizren
Prizren ( sq-definite, Prizreni, ; sr-cyr, Призрен) is the second List of cities and towns in Kosovo, most populous city and Municipalities of Kosovo, municipality of Kosovo and seat of the eponymous municipality and District of Prizren, district. Kosovo Basketball Superleague
The Kosovo Basketball Superleague (Albanian: Superliga e Kosovës në Basketboll) and known as the ProCredit Superliga due to sponsorship reasons is the top men's professional basketball league in Kosovo. Basketball Superleague was founded in 1991. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo. Prishtina holds the record for most Superleague titles as it has won the championship 14 times. Current teams Rules Competition format It consists of eight to ten teams which compete each year in two separate phases. Each team has to play all the other teams in its division four times, twice at home and twice away. This means that in Kosovo basketball, the league's regular season ends after all teams play 28 matches. At the end of the league, the four best teams in the standings start a play-off, pitting the first place team in the standings versus the 4th place team in the standings, and so on. The Albanian Basketball Superliga is the men's professional basketball league in Albania. It was founded in 1946 shortly after the formation of the Albanian Basketball Association and it is the highest division in the Albanian Basketball League. Suva Reka ( sr-Cyrl, Сува Река) or Suharekë () or Therandë () is a town and municipality located in the Prizren district of central-southern Kosovo.
