2021–22 Lech Poznań Season
Lech Poznań is a Polish Association football, football club based in Poznań. This was their 99th season overall. They competed in Ekstraklasa, the highest ranking league in Poland. Due to COVID-19 pandemic in Poland the number of spectators was limited and controlled by the Politics of Poland, Polish government. Starting from 26 June 2021, the number of spectators of Ekstraklasa and Polish Cup competitions could reach at maximum 50% of stadium capacity. Kolejowy Klub Sportowy Lech Poznań S.A., commonly referred to as KKS Lech Poznań or simply Lech Poznań (), is a Polish professional football club based in Poznań and currently competing in the Ekstraklasa, the nation's highest division. The club was established on 19 March 1922 as ''KS Lutnia Dębiec'', later changing its name several times. Until 1994, the club was closely linked to Polish State Railways (PKP). As a result, its popular nickname is ''Kolejorz'' , which means The Railwayman in local slang. The club's debut in the Polish top division took place in the year 1948. The 2022–23 season was Lech Poznań's 101st season in existence and the club's 21st consecutive season in the top flight of Polish football. In addition to the domestic league, Lech Poznań participated in this season's edition of the Polish Cup, the Polish Super Cup, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa Conference League. Jesper Kewe Karlström (born 21 June 1995) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Udinese and the Sweden national team. Club career Early career Karlström started out his career playing for Hammarby IF at the age of six. Pedro Miguel Braga Rebocho (born 23 January 1995) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Saudi Pro League club Al-Khaleej. Barry James Douglas (born 4 September 1989) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone. Joel Vieira Pereira (born 28 September 1996) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Ekstraklasa club Lech Poznań. Mickey van der Hart (born 13 June 1994) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Heerenveen.
