2021–22 Lebanese FA Cup
The 2021–22 Lebanese FA Cup was the 49th edition of the national football cup competition of Lebanon. It started with the round of 16 on 16 December 2021, and ended on 11 June 2022 with the final. Lebanese Premier League side Ansar were the defending champions, having won the 2020–21 edition. They lost to cross-city rivals Nejmeh 2–1 in the final. Al Ansar FC
Al Ansar Football Club () is a football club based in Tariq El Jdideh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Formed in 1951, the club did not win its first Lebanese Premier League until 1988. They went on to set a world record by winning the league 11 seasons in a row. Ansar is the most successful club in the country, having won the Lebanese Premier League 14 times and the Lebanese FA Cup 15 times, both domestic records. Bhamdoun
Bhamdoun (), is a town in Lebanon from Beirut on the main road that leads to Damascus and in the suburbs of the main tourist city of Aley, lying at an altitude of above the Lamartine valley. Hilal El-Helwe
Hilal Bassam El-Helwe (, ; born 24 November 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for German club FC 08 Homburg. A versatile forward, he can play both centrally and as a winger on either flank. After playing for five years in Germany for TSV Havelse, VfL Wolfsburg II, and Hallescher FC, El-Helwe moved to Greek club Apollon Smyrnis in 2018. Akhaa Ahli Aley FC
Akhaa Ahli Aley Football Club (), commonly referred to as Akhaa Ahli Aley, Akhaa Ahli or simply Akhaa, is a football club based in Aley, Lebanon, that competes in the , and is primarily supported by the Druze community. Khaled Takaji
Khaled Mohamad Takaji (; born 18 November 1986) is a Lebanese footballer and former futsal player who plays as a forward for club Safa. Club career Takaji signed for Lebanese Premier League side Nejmeh's youth sector on 4 August 2000; he was promoted to the first team ahead of the 2006–07 season. In 2008, Takaji decided to pursue a career as a futsal player, joining Pro's Cafe Beirut, with whom he played at the 2010 AFC Futsal Club Championship. He then played for Sadaka and All Sports Club at the 2011 and 2012 AFC Futsal Club Championships, respectively. On 23 August 2012, Takaji returned to Nejmeh. Mahmoud Siblini
Mahmoud Mohamed Siblini (; born 15 July 1993) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a striker for club Shabab Sahel. Starting his career at Ahli Saida in 2011, Siblini moved to Nejmeh in 2014 before being sent on a season-long loan to Tadamon Sour in 2017. Siblini finished joint-top scorer of the 2021–22 Lebanese Premier League with Nejmeh. He joined Ahed in 2022 and Shabab Sahel in 2023. Ghazi Youssef Honeine (; born 12 January 1995) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Safa. Coming through the youth system, Honeine started his senior career at Ahed in 2012. In 2015 he was sent on a three-year loan to Racing Beirut, playing over 50 games. In 2018 he joined Ansar in a swap deal involving Rabih Ataya. Tadamon Sporting Club Sour (), known as Tadamon Sour or simply Tadamon, is a football club based in Tyre, Lebanon, that competes in the , and is primarily supported by the Shia Muslim community. Al Ahed Stadium () is a football field located in the Al-Ouzai area of Bourj el-Barajneh, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon.
