2021–22 Ford Trophy
The 2021–22 Ford Trophy was the 51st season of The Ford Trophy, the List A cricket tournament that was played in New Zealand. It was the eleventh in a sponsorship deal between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company. The tournament ran from November 2021 to February 2022. In July 2021, New Zealand Cricket named all the squads for the domestic teams ahead of the 2021–22 season, and confirmed the fixtures in September 2021. Canterbury were the defending champions. Following the completion of matches played on 20 February 2022, Central Districts were the first team to reach the final of the tournament. Matthew James Henry (born 14 December 1991) is a New Zealand professional cricketer who plays for Canterbury, and for the New Zealand national team. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Basin Reserve
The Basin Reserve, also known as the Cello Basin Reserve for sponsorship reasons, and commonly referred to as the Basin, is a cricket ground in Wellington, New Zealand. It is used for Test cricket, Test matches, and is the main home ground of the Wellington Firebirds First-class cricket, first-class team. The Basin Reserve is the only cricket ground to have listed status with Heritage New Zealand, in recognition of being the oldest first-class cricket ground in the country. Historically, the ground has also been used for events other than cricket, such as association football matches, concerts and cultural events. Peter Younghusband
Peter Younghusband (born 17 February 1990) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his List A debut for Wellington on 21 January 2015 in the 2014–15 Ford Trophy. Neil Broom
Neil Trevor Broom (born 20 November 1983) is a New Zealand former international cricketer. He played domestic cricket for Otago and Canterbury and in England for Derbyshire County Cricket Club. After making his One Day International debut in 2009, Broom was recalled to the squad in 2017 following a successful domestic season, and made his Test debut. Michael James Rippon (born 14 September 1991) is a South African-born cricketer. He current plays international cricket for New Zealand, having previously also played for the Netherlands national cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls left-arm unorthodox spin.
