2021–22 Egyptian Basketball Premier League
The 2021–22 Egyptian Basketball Premier League was the 47th season of the Egyptian Basketball Super League, Egyptian Basketball Premier League, the highest-level basketball league in Egypt. The defending champions were Zamalek SC Basketball, Zamalek; they were eliminated in the semifinals by Al Ittihad Alexandria (basketball), Al Ittihad Alexandria. The season began on 26 September 2021 and finished on 16 May 2022. Al Ahly (basketball), Al Ahly won its sixth league title (its first since 2016); they qualify for the regular season of the 2023 BAL season, 2023 season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The 2020–21 Egyptian Basketball Premier League was the 47th season of the Egyptian Basketball Super League, Egyptian Basketball Premier League. The champions qualify for the 2022 BAL season, 2022 Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. Zamalek (basketball), Zamalek won its 14th national title, after winning in the finals Against Al Ittihad Alexandria (basketball), Al Ittihad. The season was decided in Game 5, which Zamalek won 84–80 after overtime. Teams 6th of October (basketball), 6th of October and El Shams SC, El Shams were relegated from the 2019–20 Egyptian Basketball Super League. Al Ahly Sports Hall () is one of Al Ahly SC club's buildings, and a multi-purpose arena in Cairo, Egypt. It is used by the Al Ahly (basketball), Al Ahly (handball), and Al Ahly (volleyball) sections of the club. Ismailia ( ', ) is a city in north-eastern Egypt. Situated on the west bank of the Suez Canal, it is the capital of the Ismailia Governorate. El-Qanah Football Club (), also known as Canal SC or Suez Canal, is an Egyptian football club based in Ismailia, Egypt. The club currently plays in the Egyptian Second Division, the second-highest league in the Egyptian football league system. Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex (), built in 1991, consists of four multi-use indoor arenas, indoor sporting arenas located near the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo, Egypt. The seating capacity of The Main Hall (also known as The Covered Hall), which is primarily used for sports, is 16,900 spectators. Construction The complex was completed in September 1991.
