2021–22 ABA League Second Division
The 2021–22 ABA League Second Division was the 5th season of the ABA Second Division with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participating in it. Teams A total of 14 teams contest the league for the 2021–22 season, based on the results in the domestic championships and taking into consideration the results in the previous season. On 31 August 2021, ABA League JTD announced 12 teams and availability for two teams to be filled by awarding wild cards. On 13 September, two clubs Široki and Zlatibor were awarded with wildcards fulfilling the remaining spots. Distribution The following is the access list for this season. 2020–21 ABA League Second Division
The 2020–21 ABA League Second Division was the 4th season of the ABA Second Division with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participating in it. The season has started on 9 November 2020. The season was the first to be played after the previous season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with the COVID-19 situation, it has been determined that the season will be played in new competition format and new calendar. Teams A total of 14 teams contested the league, including two representatives from all six ABA League countries. In cases where a club from an individual country does not apply for the 2020–21 season, the empty spot will be filled by awarding wild cards. Košarkaški klub Lovćen 1947, commonly referred to as KK Lovćen 1947, is a men's professional basketball club based in Cetinje, Montenegro. The team currently competes in the Montenegrin Basketball League. The club has the same management structure as Budućnost Bemax. They are currently competing in the Montenegrin First League and the ABA League Second Division. KK Sutjeska
KK Sutjeska is a men's professional basketball club based in Nikšić, Montenegro. The team currently competes in Montenegrin Basketball League and regional ABA League. The club won the Montenegrin Cup in 2014. History KK Sutjeska was established in 1948. The first basic basketball elements given to the youth of Nikšić were brought by Vojislav Spasojević, a basketball coach from Belgrade. Immediately after the initiative was taken, Vule Vukalović joined the team's administrative team along with the help of international referee Dragan Jakšić—and a serious basketball team began to take form. The first competition in which KK Sutjeska participated in was in 1950, in a Montenegro-wide championship held in Cetinje, where Sutjeska beat Jedinstvo 24–20. ABA League System
The ABA League system or ABA/Adriatic League system pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for men's professional basketball clubs in the Adriatic Basketball Association. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels.
