2021–22 3. Liga
The 2021–22 3. Liga was the 14th season of the 3. Liga. It was originally scheduled to start on 23 July 2021 and concluded on 14 May 2022; however, the opening match between VfL Osnabrück and MSV Duisburg had to be postponed after Duisburg was quarantined due to COVID-19 cases, delaying the season start by one day. From this season onward, the German Football Association will allow clubs to place a sponsor logo on the back of their shirts. The league fixtures were announced on 1 July 2021. Teams Team changes Originally, SV Meppen was relegated from the 2020–21 3. Liga. However, KFC Uerdingen could not meet the licensing requirements, sparing Meppen from relegation. 2020–21 Regionalliga
The 2020–21 Regionalliga was the 13th season of the Regionalliga, the ninth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format A new promotion format was decided on in 2019. From this season onward, the Regionalliga Südwest and West receive a fixed promotion spot. A third promotion spot rotates between the other three divisions, with the remaining two champions participating in play-offs for a fourth spot. A draw has determined that the Regionalliga Nordost receives the third direct promotion spot this season. Regionalliga Nord 22 teams from the states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein competed in the ninth season of the reformed Regionalliga Nord. KFC Uerdingen 05
KFC Uerdingen 05 was a German football club in the Uerdingen district of the city of Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. The former Bundesliga side, which had its greatest successes in the 1980s, plays in the fourth-level Regionalliga. In 2025, the club's liquidator announced the termination of all activity, citing financial reasons. History The club was founded on 17 November 1905 as Fußball-Club Uerdingen 05. Hallescher FC, formerly known as Hallescher FC Chemie, is a Football in Germany, German association football club based in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt. The club currently plays in the Regionalliga, the fourth highest level in the German football league system.
