2021 Supercupa României
The 2021 Supercupa României was the 23rd edition of the Supercupa României, an annual Association football, football super cup contested by the winners of the previous season's Liga I and Cupa României competitions. The game featured CFR Cluj and CS Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Craiova, with the Arena Națională in Bucharest hosting the competition for the first time since 2014 Supercupa României, 2014. Universitatea Craiova claimed its first Supercup after a 4–2 victory at the penalty shoot-out (association football), penalty shoot-out. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României () is a Romanian football (soccer), football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994 Supercupa României, 1994, with the first edition being won by FCSB, Steaua București. In 2010 Supercupa României, 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced FC Unirea Urziceni, Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far is FC FCSB, FCSB winning the competition 7 times. 2009 Supercupa României
The 2009 Supercupa României was the 11th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The match was played in Bucharest at Stadionul Giuleşti-Valentin Stănescu on 26 July 2009, and was contested between Liga I title holders, FC Unirea Urziceni and Cupa României champions, CFR Cluj. The winner, after penalties, was CFR Cluj. CFR was the first club not from Bucharest to claim the trophy since its establishment in 1994. The trophy was handed to the winners by Romania national football team coach, Răzvan Lucescu. Valerică Marius Găman (born 25 February 1989) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Liga I club Hermannstadt. Club career Universitatea Craiova He was the captain of Universitatea Craiova and a regular player for Romania U21. Abdel Slem Billel Omrani (; born 2 June 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward. A product of the Marseille academy, Omrani made his Ligue 1 debut for the club in 2011. Adrian Constantin Alexandru Păun (; born 1 April 1995) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for Liga I club CFR Cluj. The 2019 Supercupa României was the 21st edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The game was contested between Liga I title holders, CFR Cluj, and Cupa României, Romanian Cup holders, FC Viitorul Constanța, Viitorul Constanța. It was played at Ilie Oană Stadium in Ploiești in July. Viitorul Constanța won the trophy for the first time in history, with only one goal scored by Andrei Artean. The 2018 Supercupa României was the 20th edition of the Supercupa României, the annual super cup in Romania. The game was contested by the winners of the previous season's 2017–18 Liga I, Liga I and 2017–18 Cupa României, Cupa României competitions, CFR Cluj and CS Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Craiova respectively. It was played at the Stadionul Ion Oblemenco, Ion Oblemenco Stadium in Craiova, on 14 July 2018. CFR Cluj claimed the trophy after defeating Universitatea Craiova 1–0, with Emmanuel Culio scoring the only goal of the game.
