Petra Kvitová defeated Garbiñe Muguruza in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 WTA Qatar Open. The final was a rematch of the 2018 final. It was Kvitová's second title at the WTA Qatar Open. Kvitová dropped just one set the entire tournament, to Anett Kontaveit in the quarterfinals. Petra Kvitová (; born 8 March 1990) is a Czech professional tennis player. Known for her powerful left-handed groundstrokes and variety, Kvitová has won 31 career singles titles, including two Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major titles at The Championships, Wimbledon, Wimbledon in 2011 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, 2011 and in 2014 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles, 2014. Elena Andreyevna Rybakina (born 17 June 1999) is a Russian-born Kazakhstani professional tennis player. Ons Jabeur (born 28 August 1994) is a Tunisian professional tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking by the WTA of No. 2, achieved on 27 June 2022, making her the highest-ranked African and Arab tennis player in WTA and ATP rankings history. Wang Qiang (tennis)
Wang Qiang (; ; born 14 January 1992) is a Chinese tennis player. On 9 September 2019, Wang achieved her highest singles ranking of world No. 12, becoming the third-highest ranked Chinese tennis player in history after Li Na and Zheng Qinwen. She has won two singles titles on the WTA Tour, one WTA Challenger singles title, and 14 singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit. Her best performance at a major came at the 2019 US Open when she advanced to the quarterfinals. Jeļena "Aļona" Ostapenko (born 8 June 1997) is a Latvian professional tennis player. She has career-high rankings of world No. 5 in singles and No. 4 in doubles by the WTA. She won her first title at her home tournament in Istanbul becoming the first Turkish woman to lift a WTA Tour title. She has won 12 singles and 15 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
