2021 Milan–San Remo
The 2021 Milan–San Remo (known as Milano–Sanremo presented by :it:Eolo (azienda), EOLO for sponsorship reasons) was a road bicycle racing, road cycling one-day race that took place on 20 March 2021 in northwestern Italy. It was the 112th edition of the Milan–San Remo Classic cycle races, cycling classic. Originally the eighth event on the 2021 UCI World Tour calendar, it became the sixth event after the cancellation of the Tour Down Under and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race. After the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, COVID-19 pandemic forced several alterations to the 2020 Milan–San Remo, 2020 edition, the race returned both to its usual mid-March slot and to a more traditional route. 2021 UCI World Tour
The 2021 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included twenty-nine road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2021 in men's road cycling, 2021 cycling season. The tour started with the opening stage of the 2021 UAE Tour, UAE Tour on 21 February, and concluded with 2021 Il Lombardia, Il Lombardia on 9 October. 2020 UCI Road World Championships – Men's Road Race
The Men's road race of the 2020 UCI Road World Championships was a cycling event that took place on 27 September 2020 in Imola, Italy. Mads Pedersen was the defending champion, but he did not compete in the race. For the first time since 1997, a French male rider won the rainbow jersey as Julian Alaphilippe attacked on the final climb of the Cima Gallisterna; he managed to hold off a chasing group of five riders by 24 seconds to take victory at the finish line, at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari. The Monuments are five classic cycle races generally considered to be the oldest, hardest, longest and most prestigious one-day events in men's road cycling, with distances between 240 and 300 km. They each have a long history and specific individual characteristics.
