2021 Eliteserien
The 2021 Eliteserien was the 77th completed season of top-tier Association football, football in Norway. This was fifth season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season was originally scheduled to begin on 5 April and end on 27 November 2021, not including play-off matches. Restrictions enforced by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Norway, COVID-19 pandemic forced the Norwegian Football Federation to postpone the start several times and the league started on 9 May 2021. The last round was played on 12 December 2021. FK Bodø/Glimt, Bodø/Glimt were the defending champions. Tromsø IL, Tromsø and Lillestrøm SK, Lillestrøm joined as the promoted clubs from the 2020 Norwegian First Division. They replaced Aalesunds FK, Aalesund and IK Start who were relegated to the 2021 Norwegian First Division. 2022 Eliteserien
The 2022 Eliteserien was the 78th season of top-tier football in Norway. This was the sixth season of Eliteserien after rebranding from Tippeligaen. Molde were crowned the champions at the end of the season, winning their 5th Norwegian league title. The season started on 2 April 2022 and ended on 13 November 2022, not including play-off matches. Bodø/Glimt were the defending champions, having won the previous season. HamKam, Aalesund and Jerv joined as the promoted clubs from the 2021 Norwegian First Division. They replaced Brann, Stabæk and Mjøndalen who were relegated to the First Division. Teams Sixteen teams competed in the league in this season – the top thirteen teams from the previous season, and three teams promoted from the First Division. Vålerenga Fotball () is a Norwegian professional association football, football club from Oslo, and a part of the multi-sport club Vålerengens IF. The club currently competes in the Eliteserien after being promoted from the Norwegian First Division in 2024. Founded in 1913, the club is named after the neighbourhood of Vålerenga. Sarpsborg 08 Fotballforening, commonly known as Sarpsborg 08 or simply Sarpsborg (), is a Norwegian professional football club based in Sarpsborg, playing in Eliteserien. Sarpsborg 08 and its predecessors played in 1. divisjon from 2005 to 2010. Odds Ballklubb, commonly known as Odd, is a Norwegian professional association football, football club from Skien. Originally the football section of a multi-sports club, founded in 1894 nine years after the club's founding. The 2021 Norwegian First Division (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) is a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league started on 15 May 2021, and ended on 27 November 2021. HamKam earned promotion to Eliteserien on 6 November 2021, after a 1–0 win against Stjørdals-Blink. Aalesund secured their promotion in the penultimate round. Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start) is a Norwegian Association football, football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the Norwegian First Division, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Azar Karadas. Tromsø Idrettslag () is a Norwegian professional Football club (association football), football club based in Tromsø. They play their home games at the Romssa Arena which has a seating capacity of 6,801. Tromsø play in the Eliteserien. Norwegian Football Federation
The Norwegian Football Federation (, ; NFF) is the governing body of football (soccer), football in Norway. It was formed in 1902 and organises the Norway national football team, men's and Norway women's national football team, women's national teams, as well as the league systems for men and women (whose top levels are respectively the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien and Toppserien).
