The 2021 Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 31 July in San Sebastián, Spain. It was the second women's edition of the Clásica de San Sebastián. From 2022, the race was replaced by Itzulia Women. The 139.8km route covered four categorised climbs, including the Jaizkibel Jaizkibel is a mountain range of the Basque Country located east of Pasaia, north of Lezo and west of Hondarribia, in Spain, with at the highest point (peak Alleru). The 2021 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included eighteen road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2021 in women's road cycling, 2021 women's cycling season. It was the sixth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with 2021 Strade Bianche Women, Strade Bianche on 6 March, and finished with the Ronde van Drenthe on 23 October. Stultiens won the women's under-23 road race at the 2014 European Road Championships. Audrey Cordon-Ragot (née Cordon; born 22 September 1989) is a French former road bicycle racer, who last rode for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, but finished over the time limit. In the Women's time trial she finished 15th. Brodie Mai Chapman (born 9 April 1991) is an Australian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam UAE Team ADQ. Cycling career Chapman competed in mountain bike events before transitioning to road racing. Jaizkibel
Jaizkibel is a mountain range of the Basque Country located east of Pasaia, north of Lezo and west of Hondarribia, in Spain, with at the highest point (peak Alleru). The range stretches south-west to north-east, where it plunges into the sea at the Cape Higuer (spelled Higer too). To the north-west, the mountain dips its slopes in the sea with beautiful cliffs all along, overlooking on the east the marshes of Txingudi, the river Bidasoa and its mouth (tracing the France–Spain border) as well as the towns of Irun, Hendaia and Hondarribia on the riverbanks. The nearest relevant mountains are La Rhune, Aiako Harria and Ulia, closing the view east to west from the south. Some people consider Jaizkibel to be the first westernmost mountain of the Pyrenees. The Itzulia Women is a women's cycle stage race in Spain, part of the UCI Women's World Tour. The race takes place in the Basque Country in Northern Spain, on tough, hilly roads similar to the Clásica de San Sebastián. History The Tour of the Basque Country is a longstanding men's stage race, being first held in 1924.
