2021 Cupa României
The 2021 Cupa României is the 107th season of Romania's national rugby union cup competition since it inauguration in 1914. In this edition of the Romanian Cup, the number of participating teams has decreased from six teams to five, because of the financial troubles that ACS Tomitanii Constanța have succumbed to, meaning they will not participate in this year`s competition. Cristian Săuan
Cristian Daniel Săuan (born 18 March 1974 in Cluj-Napoca) is a former Romanian rugby union player. He played as a wing. Săuan played for U Cluj, in Romania, from 1992/93 to 2000/01. He was runners-up of the National Championship in 2000/01, his best result at the team. He moved to become a professional in Rugby Rovigo Delta, in Italy, where he played from 2001/02 to 2006/07. He was runners-up to the Cup of Italy in 2006. He moved afterwards to San Marco Rugby Club, playing there from 2007/08 to 2008/09. He returned to Universitatea Cluj in 2009/10, where he finished his career in 2013/14. He had 37 caps for Romania, from 1999 to 2007, scoring 14 tries, 70 points on aggregate. Valentin Nicolae Calafeteanu (born 25 January 1985) is a Romanian rugby union player. His position on the field is scrum-half. He has played for Dinamo Bucarest (2004–09), RCM UVT Timişoara (2010–17) and CSM Bucharest (2017–19). Playing for Dinamo, Calafeteanu became two times National Champion (2007, 2008) and won twice the National Cup. Eugen Apjok (born 15 April 1972) is a former Romanian rugby union player and a current coach being at the healm of CSM Baia Mare (rugby), Baia Mare. He played as a Fly-half (rugby union), fly-half.
