The 2020–21 Zambia Super League is the 60th season of the Zambia Super League, the top-tier Association football, football league in Zambia. The league kicked off on 30 October 2020. ZESCO United F.C., ZESCO United are the champions. Zambia Super League
The Zambia Super League, known as the MTN Group, MTN Super League for sponsor (commercial), sponsorship purposes, is the top association football sports league, league created in 1962 by the Football Association of Zambia. The winners of the league each season receive ZMW1,000,000 ($40000) and a copper trophy engraved with their team name. Format The league is contested by 18 teams every season. Until 2018, it was scheduled to run within the calendar year from March to December. Since then, owing to the decision by Confederation of African Football, CAF on 20 July 2017 to switch from their traditional across-year runtime/schedule of their club competitions to align with that of UEFA competitions, the UEFA/European calendar, it currently runs from August to May. Solwezi is a town in Zambia. It is the provincial capital of the mineral-rich North-Western Province. Arthur Davies Stadium
Arthur Davies Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kitwe, Zambia, named after Arthur Walter Davies who was a FIFA-accredited referee and active member of the Zambian FA. Whilst General Manager of the Copperbelt Power Corporation (now the Copperbelt Energy Corporation) which was based in Kitwe, he established the Power Dynamos F.C. and the stadium. The stadium has an eight-lane running track and incorporates a main front building which houses a presidential suite, a large conference room, offices, a gymnasium, a clinic, physiotherapy room, a police post and a club-house. Kabwe
Kabwe is the capital of the Zambian Central Province and the Kabwe District, with a population estimated at 288,598 at the 2022 census. Named Broken Hill until 1966, it was founded when lead and zinc deposits were discovered in 1902.
