2020–21 Wyoming Cowboys Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Wyoming Cowboys basketball team represented the University of Wyoming during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by Jeff Linder in his first year as head coach at Wyoming. The Cowboys played their home games at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming as members of the Mountain West Conference. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Cowboys finished the season 14–11, 7–9 in Mountain West play to finish in seventh place. They defeated San Jose State in the first round of the Mountain West tournament before losing to San Diego State in the quarterfinals. Previous season The Cowboys finished the 2019–20 season 9–24, 2–16 in Mountain West play to finish in last place in the conference. Jeff Linder
Jeffrey Michael Linder (born June 21, 1977) is an American college basketball coach and current men's assistant basketball coach at Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball, Texas Tech. Linder was previously an assistant coach at Emporia State Hornets basketball, Emporia State, Midland College, Midland, Weber State Wildcats men's basketball, Weber State, San Francisco Dons men's basketball, San Francisco, and Boise State Broncos men's basketball, Boise State from 2001 to 2016. From 2016 to 2020, Linder was head coach at Northern Colorado Bears men's basketball, Northern Colorado. In the midst of an NCAA investigation and sanctions over rules violations from the previous head coach, Linder led Northern Colorado to three straight winning seasons and the 2018 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament title. The Cal Poly Humboldt Lumberjacks are the 13 varsity athletic teams that represent California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, located in Arcata, California, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Cal State San Marcos Cougars are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent California State University, San Marcos. The Cougars compete in NCAA Division II as a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). James Madison Dukes Men's Basketball
The James Madison Dukes men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The school, a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, joined the Sun Belt Conference on July 1, 2022, after having been a member of the Colonial Athletic Association since that league's establishment in 1979. Smithfield is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States.
