The competition started on 26 August 2020 and concluded on 13 May 2021 with the final at the Ternopilsky Misky Stadion in Ternopil.Officially. Ternopilsky Misky Stadion
Roman Shukhevych Ternopil City Stadium ( uk, Тернопільський міський стадіон імені Романа Шухевича) is a multi-use stadium in Ternopil, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and is the home of clubs FC Ternopil and FC Nyva Ternopil. History The stadium is mentioned as a sports field "Kolo parku" (Near the park) in 1909 when Tarnopol (today Ternopil) was part of Austria-Hungary. It was a home to local Polish club Kresy and Ukrainian team of Podillya Sports Society. In Soviet times it was known as ''Avanhard Stadium'' and belonged to another football team FC Avanhard Ternopil. In 1983-84, the city adopted a new professional team from neighbouring city of Berezhany and almost completely rebuilt the stadium. In 2021, the stadium is set to host its first Ukrainian Cup Final and first major competition final in the city overall.

Professional Football League of Ukraine ( uk, Професіональна футбольна ліга України, translit=Profesionalna futbolna liha Ukrayiny; also known as PFL) is a sport organization and collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Created in 1996 as a representative of professional clubs in Ukraine, since 2008 it only represents professional clubs of lower leagues (second and third tiers). The League organizes the football competition for football clubs in the second and the third level of the Ukrainian league system known as Persha Liha and Druha Liha respectively as well as early stages of the Ukrainian Cup. The 2019–20 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 29th top-level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 12th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. The tournament has been set to start on 28 July 2019. The same day there took place the game for the Ukrainian Super Cup. The UPL General Assembly also adopted a post season play-off mini-tournament for the last fifth berth of Ukraine in the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League competition which would involve the best team(s) of the relegation group.

FC Kalush
FC Kalush ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Калуш») was a Ukrainian professional football club from Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. History The club was founded soon after World War II as Khimik Kalush and in the Soviet competitions competed at regional level and KFK (amateur level). The club was reestablished in place of previously existed Polish club at the chemical plant TESP that also was overtaken by Soviets. Khimik Kalush also was associated with the Soviet chemical and metallurgical association "Khlorvinil" that was expanded in 1961. At KFK level the club competed until 1995, when as Khimik entered the Druha Liha. Its main sponsor "Khlorvinil" was reorganized as a state enterprise "Oriana". 2020–21 Ukrainian Second League
The 2020–21 Ukrainian Second League is the 30th since its establishment. The football competitions in the Second League kicked off on 6 September 2020, about half a month after promotion/relegation playoffs. The planned 12th week of the season that accomplished the first half took place on 21 November 2020, yet the extra week was provided for few games that were forced to be rescheduled before teams retired for the winter intermission. The second half is scheduled to restart on 19 March 2021. Summary In this season, the bottom two teams of the First League will be relegated to the Second League. The top two teams from each group of the Second League will gain promotion to the First League for the next season.

The 2020–21 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 30th top-level football club competition since the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the 13th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. The defending champion was the 13-times winner Shakhtar Donetsk. On 25 April 2021, Dynamo Kyiv won the record 16th title with three matches remaining, after the victory over Inhulets Petrove in the Round 23 home game. The season started on 21 August 2020 and was initially set to end on 15 May 2021. On 7 April 2021 it was announced that most of clubs voted to end competitions a week early on 9 May 2021. Slavutych Arena ( uk, Славутич-Арена) is a football-only stadium in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. It is used for football matches and is the home of Metalurh Zaporizhzhia. The stadium's official maximum capacity is 12,000. Central Stadium Metalurh The stadium was built in 2006 in place of another stadium that was called Central Stadium Metalurh (or Metalurh Stadium) and which existed since 2 May 1938. The new stadium was built after complete demolishing of the previous stadium. In 2001, the Football Federation of Ukraine suspended the Metalurh Stadium and Metalurh played most of its home games at the AvtoZAZ Stadium which was a home ground of FC Torpedo Zaporizhzhia.
