2020–21 Thai League 2
The 2020–21 Thai League 2 is the 23nd season of the Thai League 2, the second-tier professional league for Thailand's association football clubs, since its establishment in 1997, also known as M-150 Championship due to the sponsorship deal with M-150. A total of 18 teams will compete in the league. The season began on 14 February 2020 and is scheduled to conclude on 31 March 2021. For this season two teams in the final table (champion and runner up) directly promoted to Thai League 1 next season while teams ranked 3rd - 6th qualified in play off for last spot in top tier next season. The 1st transfer window is from 19 November 2019 to 10 February 2020 while the 2nd transfer window is from 15 June 2020 to 12 July 2020. Thai League 2
Thai League 2 (), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. Seasons typically run from August to May, with each team playing 34 games : two against each other team, one home and one away. It is sponsored by Muang Thai Life Assurance and Muang Thai Insurance and therefore officially known as the Muang Thai League. Champion, runner up and teams ranked 3rd – 6th qualified in play off for last spot in top tier promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst three are relegated to Thai League 3. History For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. Rayong F
Rayong (, ) is a city (''thesaban nakhon'') on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and the capital of Rayong province. It covers tambons Tha Pradu and Pak Nam and parts of ''tambons'' Choeng Noen and Noen Phra, all within Mueang Rayong district. As of 2016 the population was 64,256 (est.). The main industry is fishing, and it is also the main producer of Thailand's fish sauce. It is also the center of the chemical and auto industries. The 2019 Thai League 1 is the 23rd season of the Thai League 1, the top Thai professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1996, also known as Toyota Thai League due to the sponsorship deal with Toyota Motor Thailand. A total of 16 teams will compete in the league. The season began on 22 February 2019 and is scheduled to conclude on 27 October 2019. Buriram United are the defending champions, while PTT Rayong, Trat and Chiangmai have entered as the promoted teams from the 2018 Thai League 2. The 1st transfer window is from 26 November 2018 to 19 February 2019 while the 2nd transfer window is from 24 June 2019 to 19 July 2019. Chiangrai United won the league for the first time in history, this is the first time since 2007 that neither Muangthong United nor Buriram United were not crowned champions. Phrae (; ; ) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') and capital of Phrae Province and Mueang Phrae district. It is located in Northern Thailand on the east bank of the Yom River, Yom river, 555 km north of Bangkok by road.
