2020–21 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2020–21 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Linglong Tire SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the fifteenth of the Serbian SuperLiga. Red Star were the defending champions from the previous season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the 2019–20 Serbian SuperLiga season, no club has been relegated to the Serbian First League, and four clubs from the 2019–20 Serbian First League were promoted to the 2020–21 Serbian SuperLiga. Teams The league consisted of 20 teams: sixteen teams from the 2019–20 Serbian SuperLiga and four new teams from the 2019–20 Serbian First League, Zlatibor Čajetina who are making their debut in top tier, Metalac Gornji Milanovac who are returning after a 3-year absence from top tier, OFK Bačka who are making a immediate return to top tier and Novi Pazar who also are returning to top tier after a 3-year absence. Serbian SuperLiga
The Serbian Super League (), also known as Mozzart SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Serbia and the highest level of the Serbian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Serbian First League. The SuperLiga was formed during the summer of 2005 as the country's top football league competition in Serbia and Montenegro. Since summer 2006 after the secession of Montenegro from Serbia, the league only has had Serbian clubs. Serbian clubs used to compete in the Yugoslav First League. This competition was formed in 1923 and lasted until 2003. After the downfall of SFR Yugoslavia in 1991 a new Yugoslavia would be formed that would be named FR Yugoslavia with Montenegro and Serbia. 2021–22 Serbian SuperLiga
The 2021–22 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Linglong Tire SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the 16th season of the Serbian SuperLiga. Red Star Belgrade, Red Star were the defending champions, having won their 7th SuperLiga and 32nd domestic title in the 2020–21 Serbian SuperLiga, previous season. Start and end dates, fixtures and competition format were released on 22 June 2021. Summary The number of teams in the league for this season was reduced from 20 to 16 from last season which had increased number of teams due to COVID-19 pandemic. Before the start of the season, on 16 June 2021, it was announced that number of teams in the league will again be reduced at the end of season - this time to 14. Because of that 4 teams will be relegated while only 2 will be promoted from Serbian First League. FK Voždovac
Fudbalski klub Voždovac () is a professional football club based in Voždovac, Belgrade, Serbia, which competes in the Serbian First League, the second tier. Nicknamed "The Dragons", they experienced little success in the Yugoslavian era, but have become one of Belgrade's best and most stable clubs in modern times since Serbia's independence. Fudbalski klub Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv () is a professional football club from Subotica, Serbia, that plays in the Serbian SuperLiga. FK Radnik Surdulica () is a professional football club based in Surdulica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian First League, the second tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as Surdulički sportski klub (SSK) in 1926 on the initiative of Gradimir Antić, a local shoemaker, who brought the first football ball to Surdulica. They stopped operating with the onset of World War II and Axis occupation of Serbia. In 1946, the club was reestablished as FK Polet on the initiative of Borivoje Milenković and Božidar Stanković. FK Metalac Gornji Milanovac () is a professional football club based in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian League West, the third tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as FK Radnik on 12 June 1961. The initiative came from Miroslav Spasojević, a former FK Takovo player, and was backed by two local companies, Graditelj and Metalac. 2019–20 Serbian First League
The 2019–20 Serbian First League was the 15th season of the Serbian First League since its establishment. 2019–20 league format In 2019–20 season 16 teams competed in regular season. At the end of regular season top 8 teams were supposed to play promotion playoff round, while 8 lowest placed teams were supposed to play in the relegation playoff round. At the end of relegation playoff four bottom placed teams will be relegated to the Serbian League.
