The 2020–21 Russian Football National League was the 29th season of Russia's second-tier football league since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The season began on August 1, 2020, and end on 15 May 2021. Russian Football National League
The Russian First League (, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division () and Russian Football National League (FNL) () is the second level of the Russian football league system. The Russian Professional Football League (PFL) used to run the division. Since 2011, it has been managed by the Football National League. The league consists of 18 clubs. After each season the two top clubs are promoted to the Premier League, and the bottom three clubs are relegated to the Second League. Third and fourth team play in home-and-away promotion play-offs against the 13th and 14th Premier League teams. Should one or more clubs not possess the required licence to participate for the upcoming season, the teams previously relegated are kept in the league instead, in the order of last season's standings. FC Akron Tolyatti
FC Akron Tolyatti () is a Russian professional football club based in Tolyatti founded in 2018 who play in the Russian Premier League. History In June 2019, it was confirmed that the club will enter the Russian Professional Football League in the 2019–20 season. On 15 May 2020, the 2019–20 PFL season was abandoned due to COVID-19 pandemic in Russia. As Akron was leading in their PFL zone at the time, they were promoted to the second-tier FNL for the 2020–21 season. Akron finished their first FNL season in 17th place, which would normally mean relegation. On 15 May 2021, FNL confirmed that FC Tambov, which placed last in the Premier League and was expected to be relegated to FNL, did not apply for the FNL license for the 2021–22 season and therefore Akron would not be relegated. Dynamo Stadium (Bryansk)
Dynamo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Bryansk, Russia. It was built in 1924, refitted in 1960 and 2004 years. Stadium is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of FC Dynamo Bryansk. The stadium holds up to 10,100 people. The field has a size of 105×68 m. History In 1924, the Provincial Stadium named after Vladimir Lenin, V.I. Lenin was built (the first official name of the stadium). There was only one grandstand, it consisted of 5-6 rows, accommodating 3,000 spectators. In 1929, the name changed to the Bryansk City Stadium. In the 1930s, the stadium was transferred to the Dynamo Sports Club. In 1964, illuminators were installed around the perimeter of the stadium. In 2001, it was decided to reconstruct the stadium. FC Baltika () is a professional association football club based in Kaliningrad, Russia. The club will return to the Russian Premier League in the 2025–26 season.
