2020–21 New York Knicks Season
The 2020–21 New York Knicks season was the 75th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). On July 30, 2020, the Knicks hired Tom Thibodeau as their new head coach. Fan attendance in home games was prohibited until February 23, 2021, per an executive order from then-Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo. The Knicks reopened Madison Square Garden to spectators on February 23. On May 3, with a 118–104 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, the Knicks clinched their first winning season since the 2012–13 season, and on May 12, clinched their first playoff appearance since 2013, ending their eight-year playoff drought. The Knicks faced the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs, losing in five games. Thomas Joseph Thibodeau Jr. ( ; born January 17, 1958), nicknamed "Thibs" ( ), is an American basketball coach who was most recently the head coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He served as an assistant coach for the United States men's national team from 2013 to 2016, and helped them win a gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games. The National Basketball Association's Coach of the Year is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) award given since the 1962–63 NBA season. The winner receives the Red Auerbach Trophy, which is named in honor of the head coach who led the Boston Celtics to nine NBA championships from 1956 to 1966. The winner is selected at the end of the regular season by a panel of sportswriters from the United States and Canada, each of whom casts a vote for first, second and third place selections. Johnnie Bryant
Johnathan Anthony Bryant (born August 6, 1985) is an American professional basketball coach who serves as associate head coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Chalmette High School is a public secondary school in the unincorporated Chalmette area of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, United States. It is a part of St. Bernard Parish Public Schools. History The history of Chalmette High School began in 1926 with the addition of a freshman class to Meraux Elementary School. Ante Tomić (born 17 February 1987) is a Croatian professional basketball player who plays for Joventut Badalona of the Spanish Liga ACB. The Utah Jazz are an American professional basketball team based in Salt Lake City. The Dayton Flyers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that competes in NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) representing the University of Dayton in Ohio.
