2020–21 Montenegrin Second League
The 2020–21 Montenegrin Second League was the 15th season since the establishment of the Montenegrin Second League. The season ran from August 2020 to May 2021. That was the third season with 10 participating teams. Format of competition A total of 10 teams participate in this edition of the Second League. The new members are Grbalj and Kom, who were relegated from 2019–20 Montenegrin First League, and winners of Montenegrin Third League playoffs - Berane and Igalo. This was the third season of Second CFL with 10 participants. At the end of the season, the winner is automatically promoted to Montenegrin First League, while 2nd and 3rd placed teams play promotion play-offs, while 9th and 10th position lead to relegation to the Montenegrin Third League. Montenegrin Second League
The Montenegrin Second League (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: ''Druga crnogorska fudbalska liga'' – ''Druga CFL'' – ''2. CFL'') is the second-top Association football, football league in Montenegro. It is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. Second Montenegrin League consists of 10 participants. The top team qualifies for the First League of Montenegro, the second and third one contest in a playoff match against the 8th and 9th team from the First League, while the bottom-placed two teams are relegated to any of the three Montenegrin Third League, third-tier leagues, to be replaced by the two winners of a three-way promotion playoffs, contested by the winners of the three Third League divisions. Tivat
Tivat (Serbo-Croatian: Tivat/Тиват, ) is a town in Coastal region of Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. , its population was 9,367. Rožaje
Rožaje ( Bosnian: ''Rožaje''; , ; , ) is a town located in the Northern Region of Montenegro, situated along the Ibar river. The town is the cultural center of the Bosniaks in Montenegro. As of 2023, the town has a population of 13,608 inhabitants. Stadion Donja Sutvara
Stadion Donja Sutvara is a football stadium in Radanovići, Municipality of Kotor, Montenegro. It is used for football matches and is the home turf of OFK Grbalj. The stadium holds 1,500 people. History The stadium was built in 1995 near the village Donja Sutvara, on the outskirts of Radanovići. It is situated near the main road between Kotor and Budva and is the home turf of OFK Grbalj. In 2004, Donja Sutvara stadium was renovated to meet the criteria for games in the Montenegrin First League. The stadium consists of one level with a capacity of 1,500 seats. Radanovići, Kotor
Radanovići ( Montenegrin Cyrillic: Радановићи) is a small town in the municipality of Kotor, Montenegro. Town is also part and largest settlement of historical rural region of Grbalj at the coastal region of Montenegro. Spuž City Stadium
Fudbalski klub Zora is a football club based in Spuž, Montenegro, which competes in the Montenegrin Third League. History Founded in 1922, FK Zora played only non-league matches before World War II. First seasons in official competitions, the team played during the middle of fifties (since 1954–55 season), as a member of lowest-rank, then known under the name ''Titogradski fudbalski podsavez''. First success, the team made at 1966, under the name ''FK Spuž''. After qualifiers, they gained first-ever promotion to the Montenegrin Republic League 1966-67 (third rank). Piperi (tribe)
Piperi ( cyrl, Пипери) is a historical tribe (''pleme'') of Albanian origin and a region in northeastern Montenegro. Piperi is located between the Morača and Zeta rivers up to the northern suburbs of the Montenegrin capital Podgorica. Origins Originally an Albanian tribe (), the Piperi underwent a process of gradual cultural integration into the neighbouring Slavic population. A Franciscan report of the 17th century illustrates the final stages of their acculturation. Its author writes that the Bratonožići, Piperi, Bjelopavlići and Kuči:"'' nulla di meno essegno quasi tutti del rito serviano, e di lingua Illrica ponno piu presto dirsi Schiavoni, ch' Albanesi ''" (since almost all of them use the Serbian rite and the Illyric (Slavic) language, soon they should be called Slavs, rather than Albanians). Stadion Pod Vrmcem
Stadion Pod Vrmcem is a football stadium in Kotor, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Bokelj. The stadium holds 1,000 people. History The first football ground in Kotor was situated at Rakite suburb, near the Adriatic coast. At the same location, after 1945, a new ground was built. The stadium was renovated few times. It's situated near the beach in Bay of Kotor and it's the home ground of FK Bokelj. Except Bokelj's matches, at the Stadion pod Vrmcem, every year is playing final match of Nikša Bućin Cup, competition for Third League clubs from south Montenegro. Kotor (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Котор, ), historically known as Cattaro (from Italian language, Italian: ), is a town in Coastal Montenegro, Coastal region of Montenegro. Berane City Stadium ( Montenegrin: Gradski stadion Berane/Градски стадион Беране) is a multi-purpose stadium in Berane, Montenegro. Also known as Stadion pod Bogavskim brdom, it is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Berane and FK Radnički. Also it serves as home ground of Athletic Club Lim.
