2020–21 Macedonian First League
The 2020–21 Macedonian First League is the 29th season of the Macedonian First League, with 12 teams participating in it. The season began in October 2020. Competition format Twelve teams that compose the league will play a double-legged round robin tournament. The top six teams supposed to compete in the Superleague. The teams that finish from 7th to 12th position on the table, supposed to play in the "Play-out" league and the last four teams at the end of season would be relegated. However, the competition format was changed in midseason. Instead of playing the Superleague, the first eight teams at the end of regular season will compete in the Playoff tournament and the last four teams will compete in Playoff tournament where two defeated teams will be relegated. Macedonian Radio Television
Macedonian Radio Television (), or MRT () for short, is the public broadcasting organisation of North Macedonia. It was founded in 1993 by the Assembly of North Macedonia, Macedonian Assembly. Its legally defined service is the production and broadcasting of radio and television programmes of all genres, which should satisfy the public information, cultural, educational and recreational needs of the people of North Macedonia. Skopje
Skopje ( , ; ; , sq-definite, Shkupi) is the capital and largest city of North Macedonia. It lies in the northern part of the country, in the Skopje Basin, Skopje Valley along the Vardar River, and is the political, economic, and cultural center of the country. 2020–21 BIBL Season
The 2020–21 BIBL season is the 12th edition of Balkan International Basketball League (BIBL). Besides 6 teams from Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia, 12 teams from Israel joined the competition, after temporary suspension of 2020-2021 Israeli Basketball League due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These 12 teams played inside of Israel in first round of regular season and the best two teams joined the other 4 Balkan teams, which qualified from the Balkan group. 2020–21 ABA League Second Division
The 2020–21 ABA League Second Division was the 4th season of the ABA Second Division with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participating in it. The season has started on 9 November 2020. The season was the first to be played after the previous season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with the COVID-19 situation, it has been determined that the season will be played in new competition format and new calendar. Teams A total of 14 teams contested the league, including two representatives from all six ABA League countries. In cases where a club from an individual country does not apply for the 2020–21 season, the empty spot will be filled by awarding wild cards. Jane Sandanski Arena ( or ) is an indoor sports arena located in the Aerodrom Municipality (Skopje), Aerodrom Municipality of Skopje, North Macedonia. It has a capacity of 6,000. It is named after the revolutionary Jane Sandanski. History On 18 November 2012, it was announced that the arena would be completely demolished, with a new arena called Sports Centre Jane Sandanski planned to be built in its place. On 14 February 2013, MZT Aerodrom held their last training in Jane Sandanski, with more than a thousand fans attending. The following day the arena was officially closed and demolished.
