2020–21 Japan Golf Tour
The 2020–21 Japan Golf Tour was the 48th season of the Japan Golf Tour (formerly the PGA of Japan Tour), the main professional golf tour in Japan since it was formed in 1973. In-season changes The 2020 season was originally scheduled to be played from 16 January to 6 December 2020, consisting of 25 official events. However, most of the scheduled tournaments were cancelled during 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. On 25 December 2020, the tour announced the schedule for 2021 and confirmed that it would be merged with the 2020 schedule to form the 2020–21 season. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2020–21 season. Unofficial events The following events were sanctioned by the Japan Golf Tour, but did not carry official money, nor were wins official. Rikuya Hoshino
Rikuya Hoshino (星野陸也, ''Hoshino Rikuya''; born 12 May 1996) is a Japanese professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, where he claimed his first win in 2024 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. He has also played on the Japan Golf Tour since 2017 and has won six times on the tour. Professional career Hoshino turned professional in August 2016. In early 2017, he won the Novil Cup on the Japan Challenge Tour. Since 2017, Hoshino has played on the main Japan Golf Tour. His first win came in September 2018 at the Fujisankei Classic which he won by 5 strokes. With eight more top-10 finishes he finished 2018 as the 6th highest money winner on the tour. is a professional golf tournament that is played over Nagoya Golf Club's Wagō Course in Tōgō, Aichi, Japan. Founded in 1960, it has been an event on the Japan Golf Tour schedule since the tour's first season in 1973. The is a professional golf tournament on the Japan Golf Tour. Founded as the Sapporo Open, it has been sponsored by All Nippon Airways since 1973, initially as the ANA Sapporo Open. The is a professional golf tournament on the Japan Golf Tour. It was first played in 1973 at the Takasaka Country Club (Yoneyama Course). The tournament moved to the Higashi-Matsuyama Golf Club in 1979 and to the Kawana Hotel's Fuji course in 1981. The tournament has been held at the Fujizakura Country Club in Yamanashi Prefecture since 2005. The prize fund in 2019 was ¥110,000,000, with ¥22,000,000 going to the winner.
