2020–21 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield
The 2020–21 Hallyburton Johnstone Shield was a List A cricket, 50-over women's cricket competition, the fourth season with the name Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, that took place in New Zealand. It ran from November 2020 to March 2021, with 6 provincial teams taking part. Canterbury Magicians beat Auckland Hearts in the final to win the tournament. The tournament ran alongside the 2020–21 Super Smash (women's cricket), 2020–21 Super Smash. Competition format Teams played in a round-robin tournament, double round-robin in a group of six, therefore playing 10 matches overall. Matches were played using a limited overs cricket, one day format with 50 overs per side. The top two in the group advanced to the final. Basin Reserve
The Basin Reserve, also known as the Cello Basin Reserve for sponsorship reasons, and commonly referred to as the Basin, is a cricket ground in Wellington, New Zealand. It is used for Test cricket, Test matches, and is the main home ground of the Wellington Firebirds First-class cricket, first-class team. The Basin Reserve is the only cricket ground to have listed status with Heritage New Zealand, in recognition of being the oldest first-class cricket ground in the country. Historically, the ground has also been used for events other than cricket, such as association football matches, concerts and cultural events. Brooke Maree Halliday (born 30 October 1995) is a New Zealand cricketer who currently plays for Auckland and New Zealand. Jessica Toihi McFadyen (born 5 October 1991) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper for the Wellington Blaze. Centennial Park (known for sponsorship purposes as Whitestone Contracting Stadium) is a sports complex on Taward Street in Oamaru. The main sports played there are rugby union, cricket, and hockey. In 2007, the main ground was renamed Whitestone Contracting Stadium, after naming rights were granted to Whitestone Contracting Limited. Pukekura Park
Pukekura Park is a Garden of National Significance, covering 52 hectares in the heart of New Plymouth, Taranaki in New Zealand. History The gala opening of New Plymouth's 15 hectare Recreation Ground was held on 29 May 1876. During the day the first trees were ceremonially planted by Miss Jane Carrington, the daughter of surveyor Frederic Alonzo Carrington: an oak for Great Britain, a pūriri for New Zealand, a Norfolk Island pine for the South Pacific Islands and a Pinus radiata for America. In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress.
