The 2020–21 season was the 87th season in the existence of Granada CF and the club's second consecutive season in the top flight of Football in Spain, Spanish football. In addition to the 2020–21 La Liga, domestic league, Granada participated in this season's editions of the 2020–21 Copa del Rey, Copa del Rey and the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa League. Granada Club de Fútbol (), known simply as Granada or ''"Graná"'', is a professional List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football club based in the city of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, that currently plays in Segunda División. Its main shareholder is the China, Chinese company Desport, and its president Jiang Lizhang. The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Spain on 31 January 2020, when a German tourist tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in La Gomera, Canary Islands. Post-hoc genetic analysis has shown that at least 15 strains of the virus had been imported, and community transmission began by mid-February. By 13 March, cases had been confirmed in all 50 provinces of the country. A partially unconstitutional lockdown was imposed on 14 March 2020. Domingos Quina (born 18 November 1999) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cypriot club Pafos. Darwin Daniel Machís Marcano (born 7 February 1993) is a Venezuelan professional footballer who plays as a left winger. Club career Machís started his career with AC Mineros de Guayana, making his official debut on 21 August 2011, coming on as a substitute in a 1–1 away draw against Estudiantes de Mérida, for the Venezuelan Primera División championship. Maxime Gonalons (born 10 March 1989) is a French former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Club career Youth career Gonalons had been with Lyon since the age of 10 climbing through the club's youth sections after joining the club from local outfit Villefranche.
