2020–21 Getafe CF Season
The 2020–21 season was the 38th season in the existence of Getafe CF and the club's fourth consecutive season in the top flight of Spanish football. In addition to the domestic league, Getafe participated in this season's edition of the Copa del Rey. The season covered the period from 20 July 2020 to 30 June 2021, with the late start to the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. COVID-19 Pandemic In Spain
The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. The virus was first confirmed to have spread to Spain on 31 January 2020, when a German tourist tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in La Gomera, Canary Islands. Post-hoc genetic analysis has shown that at least 15 strains of the virus had been imported, and community transmission began by mid-February. By 13 March, cases had been confirmed in all 50 provinces of the country. A partially unconstitutional lockdown was imposed on 14 March 2020. Allan-Roméo Nyom (born 10 May 1988) is a professional footballer who plays as a right back for La Liga club Getafe.
