2020–21 FC Ararat-Armenia Season
The 2020–21 season was FC Ararat-Armenia's 3rd season in Armenian Premier League, of which they were defending champions. Ararat-Armenia finished the season in 5th position, reached the semifinals of the Armenian Cup, the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League and the playoff round of the UEFA Europa League. Season events After Vardan Minasyan left the club on 17 July 2020 after his contract expired, Ararat-Armenia announced the appointment of David Campaña as their new manager on 22 July. FC Ararat-Armenia
FC Ararat-Armenia () is an Armenian professional football club based in Yerevan, founded in 2017. History It was founded in 2017 as FC Avan Academy by Ruben Hayrapetyan, on the basis of the young players of the Yerevan Football Academy graduates, as well as many young players from FC Pyunik. They club's inaugural match took place in July 2017 against Erebuni SC. The friendly match ended up with a score of 3–1 in favour of Avan Academy. In early 2018, the club was taken over by the Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan who renamed the football club as Ararat-Moskva, from Mount Ararat. The club was reorganized as soon as FC Ararat Moscow in Russia was denied certificate for the next season. Artak Oseyan managed the club during the 2017–18 Armenian First League season. Vardan Minasyan
Vardan Minasyan (; born 5 January 1974) is an Armenian football manager and former player who is the football manager of Ararat-Armenia in the Armenian Premier League. He played as a midfielder in his native Armenia, in Switzerland and in Russia. Minasyan has been largely credited for advancing Armenia international and domestic football. He led Armenia to a record 3rd-place finish in Euro 2012 qualifications, where Armenia scored 22 goals, in his first qualification cycle. Minasyan was also the longest serving manager of the Armenian national squad to date and has the best match record of all the former managers of the national team. When he resigned in October 2013 after the FIFA 2014 qualifications, Armenia was ranked #38 by FIFA, the highest rank in the Armenia national team's history. 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict

2020–21 Armenian Premier League
The 2020–21 Armenian Premier League season is the 29th since its establishment. Season events On 30 July, it was announced that FC Van had been giving a license to compete in the Armenian Premier League, with the season commencing on 14 August 2020.
