2020–21 Biathlon World Cup – Overall Men
In the men's 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup total score, for each participating athlete the points earned in all Individual, Sprint, Pursuit and Mass start competitions held during the season are added up with the four lowest scores subtracted at the end of the season to give that athlete's final score. 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup
The 2020–21 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 28 November 2020 in Kontiolahti, Finland and ended on 21 March 2021 in Östersund, Sweden. Starting from this season a blue bib will be introduced for the best biathlete under the age of 25. Calendar Below is the IBU World Cup calendar for the 2020–21 season. Simon Desthieux (born 3 December 1991) is a retired French biathlete, olympic champion and world champion. He competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics for France, where he finished 45th in the sprint and 21st in the pursuit. Jakov Fak
Jakov Fak (born 1 August 1987) is a Slovenian Biathlon, biathlete of Croats, Croat origin competing for Slovenia since 2010. As a member of the Croatian biathlon team, Fak won bronze medals at the Biathlon World Championships 2009, 2009 World Championships and at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where he was also the Croatian flag bearer at the opening ceremony. In 2010, Fak switched his citizenship and started competing for Slovenia. Fak won four medals at the World Championships with the Slovenian team, including two gold and a silver medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics. In addition, Fak has nine victories in the World Cup. Career Fak began to compete in biathlon in 2001 under the trainer Robert Petrović. Alexander Loginov (biathlon)
Alexandr Viktorovich Loginov (; born 31 January 1992) is a Russian biathlete. He began his career in 2004. Career Loginov started his professional career in the late 2012–13 season, taking a bronze medal in pursuit in Holmenkollen and gold as part of the relay team in Sochi. Doping case and suspension Loginov was provisionally suspended by International Biathlon Union (IBU) on 25 November 2014 after re-testing of a sample of his from 26 November 2013 showed he had been doping with EPO. All his results from 26 November 2013 onwards were annulled, and he was handed a two-year ban from sports. The ban ended on 25 November 2016. Return Loginov returned to the sport in the 2016–17 season, winning bronze with the Russian relay team at the Biathlon World Championships 2017. In the next season, Loginov, while failing to finish in the top 3, improved his form, finishing 23rd in the overall standings.
