2020 Taça De Portugal Final
The 2020 Taça de Portugal Final was the last match of the 2019–20 Taça de Portugal, which decided the winner of the 80th season of the Taça de Portugal. It was played at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra in Coimbra, between Benfica and Porto. It was the 37th final for Benfica in the competition's history after they won the 2017 final, while Porto returned a year later to dispute its 31st final of the Portuguese Cup, after they lost the 2019 final to Sporting CP. The defending champions were Sporting CP, however, they were knocked out in the third round by third-tier side Alverca. The final was originally scheduled to take place on 24 May 2020 at the Estádio Nacional venue in Oeiras. 2019–20 Taça De Portugal
The 2019–20 Taça de Portugal (also known as Taça de Portugal Placard for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th edition of the Taça de Portugal, the premier knockout competition in Portuguese football. A total of 144 clubs entered this edition, including teams from the top three tiers of the Portuguese football league system and representatives of the fourth-tier District leagues and cups. This was the first season to allow a fourth substitution during extra time. The competition began on 1 September 2019 with the first-round matches and was scheduled to conclude on 24 May 2020 with the final at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, between top-tier sides Benfica and Porto. Varzim Sport Club () is a Portuguese football team based in Póvoa de Varzim, near Porto in the north of the country. The club was founded on 25 December 1915, and has played at the Estádio do Varzim Sport Club since it was founded. Estádio Das Antas
The Estádio das Antas (officially Estádio do Futebol Clube do Porto) was the third (and longest occupied) stadium of the Portuguese football side FC Porto. It was in use from 1952 to 2004, replacing the earlier Campo da Constituição, 1.6km (1 mile) to the west, and later replaced by the Estádio do Dragão, a block southeast away. As well as the stadium, it had an indoor arena and three training grounds. The club's offices were also split between the inside of the stadium and the ''Torre das Antas'', built in front of the stadium during the 1990s. The term "behind closed doors" is used in several sports, to describe matches played where spectators are not allowed in the stadium to watch. The reasons for this may include punishment for a team found guilty of a certain act in the past, stadium safety problems, public health concerns, or to prevent potentially dangerous clashes between rival supporters. In football, it is predicated by articles 7, 12 and 24 of FIFA's disciplinary code. Crowdless games are a rare occurrence in professional sports.
