2020 Qatar ExxonMobil Open
The 2020 Qatar Open (also known as 2020 Qatar ExxonMobil Open for sponsorship reasons) was the 28th edition of the Qatar Open, a men's tennis tournament which is played on outdoor hard courts. It was part of the ATP Tour 250 of the 2020 ATP Tour. It took place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar from 6 to 11 January 2020. The tournament was awarded the Tournament of the Year award in the 250 category from the 2019 ATP Awards for the third time in five years. Second-seeded Andrey Rublev won the singles title. ATP Tour 250
The ATP 250 tournaments (previously known as the ''ATP World Tour 250'' tournaments, ''ATP International Series'', and ''ATP World Series'') are the lowest tier of annual men's tennis tournaments on the main ATP Tour, after the four Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam/major tournaments, ATP Finals, ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, ATP 1000 tournaments, and ATP 500 tournaments, ATP 500 tournaments. As of 2024 ATP Tour, 2024, the series included 38 tournaments, with 250 ranking points awarded to each singles champion—which accounts for the name of the series. Draws consist of 28, 32, or 48 for singles and 16 for doubles. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (; born 17 April 1985) is a French former professional tennis player. He was ranked as high as world No. 5 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he achieved in February 2012. Tennys Loren Sandgren II ( ; born July 22, 1991) is an American former professional tennis player. He has achieved a career-high ATP singles ATP rankings, ranking of No. 41 on January 14, 2019. He played two years of college tennis at the University of Tennessee before launching his professional career. He broke into the top 100 of the ATP rankings toward the end of 2017 after competing mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour. Alexandr Oleksandrovych Dolgopolov (born 7 November 1988), formerly known as Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr., is a Ukrainian retired professional tennis player. He changed his forename spelling to the current form in May 2010. Mikael Ymer (born 9 September 1998) is a Swedish professional tennis player. He had a career high Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP singles ranking of world No. 50, achieved on 17 April 2023. Márton Fucsovics (, ; born 8 February 1992) is a Hungarian professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 31 on 4 March 2019. Malek Jaziri (; born January 20, 1984) is a Tunisian former professional tennis player. Jaziri reached his highest singles ranking on the ATP Tour of World 42 in January 2019. He primarily played on the Futures circuit and the Challenger circuit.
